From my experience, my best guess is...

DX Rancho Roc HSS 0 LSS 2.5
KC Rancho Roc HSS 0 LSS 2.5
Star Rancho Roc HSS 0 LSS 3
Star Ontario Roc HSS -1 LSS 2

Never had a champ Roc that I liked. Well, I've only had one. And I don't like it. Domiest thing I've ever seen. I throw KC Pros as a utility disc for holes with conveniently placed watery graves. DX Rocs quickly lose their stability if you throw them in the woods a lot. Star Rancho is my go-to. My Ontario is great for uphill shots and slow-turning hyzer flips or softly thrown anhyzers.

Peters and JFarm are right. If you can find and throw a DX Flat Top Rancho, they are the most dependably stable Rocs IMO. Joses is also correct in how fine a combination the Wasp and Buzzz are. I parked a 388 foot hole last weekend with a FLX Buzzz. It was downhill, but the hyzer line with a driver is a long shot. So, for funsies, I threw the Buzzz within 20 feet of my Forces. I also recall throwing at Peaks View one evening and nearly outdriving my Beast with a Buzzz. KP

So Marshall Street says of the Wasp that it "flies and looks uncannily like a Roc" and "this Discraft Wasp raised some eyebrows in the disc golf world for its similarity to Innova's massively popular Roc. But hey, it's a free world...the part that isn't patented at least."
So, my question is, is there a difference? I've looked at a Wasp before, and can confirm it's likeness in appearance to a Roc. But I've never thrown one. Do they fly identically or differently? Just curious.

i would say a wasp is definitely more stable than a roc.

I have only ever thrown the Z and ESP Wasps. I would think that perhaps the D Wasps could at least be seasoned to fly like a Roc. My ESP flies somewhat like some Rocs. It is stable up to a point, and then violently unstable. I think maybe the First Run ESP Wasps were like that, because I have thrown other ESP Wasps that are quite overstable. Now, recently, SHTEEV and I were out at Falling Creek, and after completing 18, we threw some putters and midranges at basket 5. I threw some of mine and his, and vice versa. Now, if anyone has a couple of Rocs in the bag, it is Poppa Powers. Like 6 KC Pro Rocs. Of all the Rocs of his that I threw, only the brand new RW Rancho was even close in stability to my heavy Z Wasp. I think that he would agree, if he remembers throwing them. As for it being a rip off by Discraft, there are lots of urban myths out there about disc design and industrial espionage. All of which are fairly entertaining. KP

nice. yeah i think rocs fit better in my bag than a wasp would. with two gators, which i love, not much need for another massively overstable disc. my beaded champ is stupid overstable - i love it - and my beadless star is more gently overstable. nice combo that my slew of rocs complements nicely.

The only gator I've ever thrown is my original mold champion which is the old beaded model. It is like a discraft Drone or a Gateway Demon. The Wasp after a few rounds is more like a brand new Rancho Roc. I've thrown a lot more of the Buzz than the Wasp. Actually, I may pick up another Demon one of these days...
