I posted here several weeks ago, maybe even a full month ago? Not sure.

Either way, at the time I was just running off of the idea and the rush from participating in one of your events.

Now though, I have been contacted back by the artist doing my commission work, and the ball is definitely rolling.

I will be getting a very top notch Revan costume that will only need a few alterations to make it Flagship acceptable. Apologies to any other Revans out there, not meaning to step on any toes, but looking through some of the more recent events, it doesn't seem to be used all that much.

Now I just need a few extra items to finish the costume that aren't included. Maybe some could help me out?

balaclava, neck seal or turtle neck, black long sleeve shirt, dark pants, boots, gloves.

Mainly looking for some nice gloves and boots to start off with. Any local retail stores that would have some for good price? Thanks in advance and I cannot wait to be a part of this.

Here's a link to some nice boots - http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_06707316000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

Would these boots work for you? I have a pair and they are really nice. These boots work for a number of costumes like Darth Vader, Imperial Crewman, Imperial Officers in black, and Tie Pilots just to name a few. I tried to get a peak at these boots at the Clearview Sears but I think they are only available online.

As far as gloves go what do you think about the deerskin gloves at the bottom of this page? http://www.leathermystics.com/gauntlets/gauntlets.html

I have a pair of these that I use for my Imperial Officer outfit and I like them very much.

Looking at the Flagship Eclipse CRL for Revan it would appear that you don't need a neck seal so much as a shirt with a high mandarin collar. While a turtle neck would work, I'd say the mandarin collar would fit the render much better.

What about this shirt? http://www.awawork.com/1p30bk.html

Hakama pants - http://www.martialartsland.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=RSKHU&gdftrk=gdfV23627_a_7c1630_a_7c8054_a_7cRSKHU

Good luck and let us know if you need more assistance. :)

Thanks,

Thanks a lot guys, I officially placed my order for the costume today, and the artist said it would be completed probably in early/mid February. He is trying to bump it up in time for Comic Con in January, but no promises. Which is fair enough really.

I will be getting my gloves, boots, and other accessories soon enough as well. The costume is pretty much approvable upon delivery. It does not require much alteration. Everything is pleated and so on. So, I'm pretty stoked. I'll keep in touch with you guys so far, and can maybe wear my generic nameless Sith costume to some smaller events in the mean time just to get more in the swing of things. But I'm definitely waiting on my Revan before I get heavily involved. Thanks a lot for your help guys. I'll keep you all posted.

Merry Christmas too btw guys :)

Vexander, how was your experience with leathermystics? I was going to order from them today, but being the worry wort that I am sometimes, I went and checked on reviews first for their site, and the highest percentage of them was on the negative side. Perhaps you could vouch for them? I really like the gloves they offer.

Also, those boots unfortunately didn't fly with the people over on flagshipeclipse.com

They said I'd have to cut the strap/buckle off the front top of the boot. Dont really wanna have to cut up a pair of 100 dollar boots if I can help it.

In other news, I did get my replica Revan hilt for Christmas.

I don't recall any problems with my order to Leather Mystics. You may want to send them an e-mail first to verify that they have the item you want in stock.

As far as the boots are concerned, I understand your position. I bought those boots knowing that I would have to cut the strap off. I also know that they can be used for several different costume types so I wasn't concerned about it. By itself it doesn't look bad without the strap either.

One thing you will find is that proper footwear is the toughest part of any costume.

Good luck!

Thanks Phenix :) And those pics look great.

I just bought my gloves Vexander, from Leather Mystics. You remember about how long it took for them to ship out? :)

I'm still torn on what to do for boots. Then I just need a longsleeve turtleneck and a balaclava. Anyone know of a place I can find a balaclava?

Sorry Judas, I think I ordered my gloves about a year ago. I've told you everything I remember about the order.

Thanks,

It's cool Vexander, I appreciate it. They actually responded back to me in a very timely order, and my gloves have already shipped out. Actually going to be here this week probably.

Jedi Tacos, those balaclavas look pretty nice, thanks. I may just go with one of those. But like what happened to you, I wish I could try some of this stuff on first lol.

Just got boots and a shirt left to get. Trying to be cost effective here towards the end of my costumes completion. I'm hoping it will be arriving to me in 2-3 weeks. Soon as I get it, I'm going to make a few alterations on it and take pictures of it for approval. It's pretty approve worthy upon receiving it. :)

You can try a local police supply if there is one nearby or an army surpus store. I found balaclavas at both locally. I prefer the one made by underarmor. Or call academy sports as it is winter time and they may after some in stock.

Alright.

Well, it looks like I *will* be able to make Wizard World.

YAY!

The guy is supposed to be shipping the costume Monday after finishing it up this weekend. I ordered my boots, my balaclava, and got a long sleeve shirt that will work with the costume. And my gloves came in, as mentioned above.

So once the bulk of the costume is in, I'm set to go. I am crossing my fingers that this actually goes off without a hitch. I will not have time to alter it for any specific 501st standards, but a pic of the costume is linked below and this is without any altering to the costume...

http://www.mywickedarmor.com/costumes/revan/revan.htm

So hopefully that will suffice for Wizard World? I hope I can hook up with you guys there though not being a full accepted member yet.
