About a month ago, I posted about getting a very large surprise package. I said that at the time, I would slowly replace the wood target faces with metal and here are the first three are out of the gate. I have steel for three more and by the end of next month (or sooner), I will have all faces replaced and they will be purpose sized for Pistol FT. As you see the targets, from left to right, they are sized at 1.75", 2", and 1.5" in diameter. This shows you how large (or small if you think of them that way) they are. These are not as fancy as the ususal targets I do, but they will last my lifetime or longer if shot at with pistols, only. Hope you enjoy them when you see them in your sights.

It's neat that you are reviving those Oldies for this purpose, and I can't wait for the opportunity to try to take some YELLOW paint off em...WooHooooo!
Just read the info section..500fps max. is probably a good idea..keeps a "level playing field" competition match setup that's SURE to be a BLAST!
Well, think I'll at least start cutting out 1 1/2 - 2" cardboard circles & shove em on some doll-r store bamboo skewers.....
Keep up the good work. |

Great job, KR!
That middle target looks a whole lot cooler now, than it did on Sunday.
For those folks thinking that those kill zones are HUGE, well, from my own experience Sunday, (suffering from a severe case of lack of practice), they aren't as easy to knock over as some folks made it appear on Sunday - and with open sights no less .
Practice, practice, practice !!! |

Got three more targets up and finished. That Mantis will stay up in a
hurricane, yet go down with the slightest hit on the paddle. The
mechanism is an older version of the Otten Series 1 target and all it
needed was a screw and nut to adjuste the stop point of the paddle. I am
getting very excited about the first PFT match. Keep your eye on this
page for more targets as they are prepared. In case you are wondering,
the black and white bird is a Puffin.

Great bunch of targets coming along..I love the mantis idea....& NOW ; about the PUFFIN...AHEM..as a NEWFIE it's practically our PROVINCIAL BIRD, an AQUATIC bird able to swim like PENGUINS but ALSO able to FLY so they nest in cliff-like rock-faces, and dive for small fish etc. With that beak they are able to retrieve and easily break open mussels, snails, and other shellfish. There are several COLONIES on small rocky islands and shorelines on the NORTHERN COASTS of CANADA. Tourists can take boats out of St.John's to see these RARE BIRDS..Gift Shops sell the usual RED, No-Smoking Circle-bar Sign with a Silhouette of this bird in the middle cuz, NO-"PUFFIN"-ALLOWED, and if you visit a certain local pub you can be "SCREECH'ED-IN" to become an honorary Newfie - It involves drinking THREE SHOTS OF SCREECH without a peep OR a SCREECH..then you have the CHOICE of KISSING either a fresh CODFISH on the LIPS.....OR......The A.R.S.E of a Taxidermied..PUFFIN.......Get yer certificate..eventually stagger back to your accomodation...Yer a NEWFIE!
SORRY to CARRY-ON so, but I think between the Lobster and the Puffin that the "BOX-O-GOODIES" you got came from EAST a bit..?..YEAH?... |

Here is the latest batch of PFT targets. I have only three left to make new faces for, and that is going to be this coming week.

Not as of yet. June and July are extremely booked up months so far. We
will post as soon as a date and venue have been arranged. I am itching to do this as much as anyone else, trust me. _________________ Keyrigger
