I have been getting this ready for the better part of a month. The hard
part was getting the new sleave in silver, but Derek of DAK picked it up at
the IAW Show in Germany a week and a bit ago. I spent the better part of
the day fitting it to the pistol and drilling the two holes for the scope
mount. The mount was a Weaver 401S S&W K, L, and N frame that I
modified to better suit the pistol. The scope can pop off and the iron sights
are still fully usable. The scope will pretty much return to zero when it is
removed and put back on, which is a tremendous bonus. There are better
bases and rings that would be far better suited to that purpose, but for this
first time at setting up this pistol, the rings (already modified from stock)
and base seem to do the job very well. The grip is a custom made unit
and cannot be found anywhere else as it is specifically set up for using
the pistol in a two-handed hold, yet can be used for single hand bullseye
shooting. Hope you like it.

Beautiful job Don! A few hours work put into crafting that grip I'll wager!? Unless you recently bought a Steyr two handed grip making machine! |

That Steyr not only looks good, it gets the job done !!!! KR was doing way too good with it the other day at a little practice session, even with the open sights.
I figure that we may have to handicap him a bit so the rest of us have a sporting chance - a blindfold maybe ? |

Blindfold? Hehe, you're going to need to do better than that. I am becoming one with the pistol, much as I did with the rifle.
Ok, all BS aside, I am not very good with wind reading so if I ever can read the signs of wind direction and strength in front of me, then I might become a threat. Most, if not all of my misses are at the long distances and on fairly good sized KZ's because of not reading the wind signs on the lane. Windbag seems to have a cool project coming along and once it is done, it will be interesting to see how it performs. I hear that nearly all of the parts are Crosman components so it will show how well they can be put together. Please remember, this will really boil down to marksmanship and not pocket depth. Take care, all. _________________ Keyrigger
