This is a DL-44 that used to be orange.
No simple repaint this one, it took over a week of workign it to get it finished.
I took it apart and sprayed it black inside then reassembled and puttied up the screws. Cut off the front of the scope and replaced that with a piece of stock that recieved a front "reticle" then did the same for the back with a back "reticle".
Puttied up the seams, replaced the front blob on the muzzle with a proper aviation screw, added a lot of metal parts including washers, bushings and brass lamp shade knobs.
drilled out four more rows of holes on the muzzle to make it look more correct.
Primed, silvered, clear coated then treated to three kinds of black. The grips were painted Hull Red with black stripes for the woodgrain, then oversprayed with a thin coat of flat, just as the stunt versions were.
Krylon flat aluminum muzzle with black overspray.
I learned a lot on this one and can turn the next one faster, now that I know the ins and outs of how to do this upgrade. Still functions as far as the noise goes.

Wow! Really nice, Dewka. We got our plastic Mauser auto-pistols from Singapore a little while back from the link you put up, and as soon as I can find the suggestions on making the snub-nosed ones, I'll start on them.
Don't look for my holsters to be the floppy screen-accurate ones, either. We do so few canon events, I'll do without sidearm for them.
