Was just a matter of time till I was able to fulfill this dream!!!!
Ever since I was about 5 and saw the previews to Star Wars ANH... I knew one day I would wear the armor of a stormtrooper.
I had heard of the 501st through my sister in law, Kat Frederick, who happens to be also sister in law to Dewka. She pointed me in the right dirrection and so my journey begins.
After several years of taking on the responsabilaties of providing for family and long months offshore for years, I find myself with time on my hands. My wife is now my EX "thanks be to The Emperior" and son is all grown up. It is time for me now!!!!
I have been talking with Dewka and he has been giving me the best advice from begining at the begining... yes a wrangler, to avoiding buying the junk on ebay. I believe it is the best thing to learn to fly before getting your wings,, figuretavily speaking!
I have been reading, reading and more reading, the forums and learning some of the ins and outs of the BAG. Alot of the post are very informative as to what goes into the logistics of just getting tshirts made let alone arranging a event. The hotels and meetings of special appearences of Sci Fi actors is just amazing.
Most importantly ....the kids.... the difference in making a kid smile or adult for that matter, would mean the world to me.
Ladies and gentlemen of the Bast Alpha Garison... allow me to help in the cause and fulfill a dream of mine.
Hey if i get to squash a few rebel scum in the process, I'll be the better for it lol
Hope to hear from some of the Garrison.
I will be back home after February 15th after that please let me know if you can use me in any events. I have a flexable schedule.

The armor is on hold till i get some more info and see some examples of the way it feels and such. I have made connections with some great guys. Maybe you might have heard of them? Dave G. and Steve lol I'm going to get with them and help me to decide exactly which armor to go with but pretty sure I'll side with ABS for the durability.
As of right now I'm going to get some of the extras for the TD armor such as blaster/ T-21, underarmor or body suit, shoes and start looking for items to make my backpack. Everyone especially Dewka "Dave" has sent me alot of places for authentic parts.
Question? Can or is there a wrangler shirt that I can get my hands on? for sale or online? I haven't found one yet or can I make my own? anybody???

Welcome aboard Mark!! We don't have an official wrangler shirt. Usually our wranglers will wear a Star Wars shirt of some kind. Since you are working on a costume, you might want to send Sabeaux a message. He has some garrison shirts and might be able to get one to you at the next event.

Archer...Great to have ya on board. As Eric had mentioned i do have some Garrison long sleeved tee-shirts as well as pull over hoodies which are for sale. definitely avail yourself to what Phenix has on sandtroopers. He did one of the best weathering jobs I have seen and got top notch equipment.
