I have 2 Radio Shack 12 volt fans that just don't seem to have enough power to do the job. Has anyone tried adding 4 AA batteries to the power of a nine volt battery? What's the scoop on this?
Thanks

Waldo
those craptastic 12V muffin fans arent going to move much air to begin with. If you are using 9V you arent giving them full power, but even at rated voltege a muffin fan only blows a gentle stream.
I have these in my chestbox and one in my helmet at the side.
theOTHER fan I have is a blower and it "helps" to clear me but with all the heat I am throwing in that helmet, its hard to clear me at all unless I pick up a breeze (my helmet is open at the top and lets in air from the front).
here is the blower that I use in this old thread, it is a Nidec Gamma 26 fan. The 28 is larger and the 30 is too big to mount in my helmet but it may fit in yours.
