May 5th, Free Comic Book Day

CooR 501st Member Joined: 24 Aug 2006 Posts: 3419 : Location: Formerly of the Swamp Lands of Destrehan Items	Posted: Mon Feb 26, 2007 11:43 pm    Post subject: May 5th, Free Comic Book Day   Stand by for more info, need to talk to Jason at BSI if we are doing this troop again this year. pics from last year should be up on fotki tomorrow edited 23 april I talked to Jason (the owner dude) and he said that he would be more than happy to have us, we'll do like we did last year, promote the event (radio and news contacts plz stand up), try to wave peeps in, take pics, have a good time, maybe play some SW games, etc... PJ will be running the store, super kewl guy, he'll take care of us, no worries. They have a work closet for us to change in, a bathroom and a pizze hut next store. The time for this event is kind of loose as it is very laid back, I'm just going to call it from noon till 4pm, everyone can show up and leave anytime in between. He sold it to a great guy though by the name of Jason, whos wife is pregnant. Jason is an awesome dude, helped us out a lot and lets us troop at the comix shop pretty much when ever we want. Is even thinking about starting up a SW gaming night. And tell Lauren, Joyce would love to play girls vs. boys in the space battles. I was trying to find the stater set today in GA. Barnes and Noble did not have it, I will try to find a comic boy shop tomorrow.
