[The Oracle]

Far away from the civilization of the world, there is an island enshrouded deeply in mystery and magic. Here, a small kingdom of people live out peacefull lives near Glacier Lake. The people farm and enjoy the more simple things in life, instead of adventures and far off places.

There are a few people, however, that have traveled the island far and wide. From the Stone Pillars to the north, to the majestic Heinland Fjords to the south. From the bright blue waters of Mermaids Cove in the east, to the rolling Forty Hills in the west.







There are 3 guilds within the kingdom. The Knight, Mage and Rogue's guilds.

The knights guild is for people that can handle a weapon, here the Guildmasters can teach you how to weild different kinds of armor, swords and sheilds. In order for a pupil to graduate from the Knights guild, they have to be knighted by the king.

The Mage guild is for those that wish to practise magic, or study alchemy. There are many types of magic, which include, fire, water, air, earth, light and dark. Being an alchemist is much differnt than a mage, it involves discovering differnt herbs, chemicals, minerals, etc. You could almost stay being an Alchemist is like being a scientist of the Midevil era.

The Rogue guild is often associated with a theives guild, however there is a great difference. Being a rogue involves one learning how to work by oneself, especially in the feilds of stealth, quickness and close combat. Rogues learn a varity of techniques that can be used effiently out in the wilderness. So you could say a rogue is a well trained woodsman.



Welcome to Gossimus!



Gossimus is the capital city of the kingdom that has been build to enshroud the lake.. Here resides the King, as well as the guilds and Guildmasters.

To enter Gossimus one must first visit the gate house. The guards here are usually easy to get along with and only stop people that are truely suspicious.

Once through the gate house, one would enter the Martket district. Here you can find wares of nearly any kind. From medicinal herbs to weaponry. Watch out for shift merchants.

Upon passing the Market District, you reach a fork in the road. Looking left and right, you see roads that seem to wrap around the lake, while straight ahead it seems to go right out onto the lake.

To your left in the distance you see the Mage guild with no Guild master in sight. Maybe hes inside.

To your right is the Rogue Guild. It doesnt look that busy.

Straight ahead is the castle, and inside is the knights guild. If one plays their cards right, they might get a chance to see the king in his royal chambers. Otherwise, make a note to visit the Knights guild to your left upon entering the castles main gate.

Outside the castle's main gate, one would see a bulletin board with a notice attached to it. The notice reads...

"Looking for Adventurers!

Yes, you heard right. The King is looking for adventurers to journey to the 4 points of the island. There will be considerable pay upon returning, provided one does return. If you choose to take this mission, the fate of the people will be in your hands!

*Alex ventures into looking all around at the new surroundings. As he is walking forward he looks at the fork in the road and sees the guilds at the end of the road. He walks down right path towards the rouge guild to perhaps find something that intrests him.*

John, looking shocked at the size of gossimus, enters through the gate house. Not being stopped he enetered the castle and went to his left. He always dreamt of being able to wield a weapon and shield, this was his chance.

[Deus]

Halbert Geere was once a ver deadly warrior, but thats not to say he's lost his touch. Though seasoned, he can still swing a sword better than most young bloods. Of corse age does play a factor, but his lust for battle has never lost its luster.

Geere was just finishing up for the day, and you could tell by his restless students. With the words "Class dismissed' Tthey all stood up and scurried out of the guild, some saying their goodbyes as they went.

What Geere wouldnt give to be a kid again. 'Ive lived a good life' he assured himself from time to time, 'besides, they need someone capable to run this guild'. But Geere was in dire need of a vacation. Perhpas thats why the king put the Guildmasters in charge of the new missions. With only two Guildmasters in Gossimus at the moment, as the head of the mage guild was on vacation, things would be interesting. Geere would always rely on at least one of them to cover while he was gone. But this time they would just have to improvise a little. Maybe if Geere was lucky, the master of the Mage guild would come back sooner.

Geere st at his desk and sifted through some papers. Waiting to get interrupted as he always did. A man of his postion was quite often called upon by people for his advice, and he didnt mind giving it in the least.

Just as Geere was finally getting some work done, he herd someone coming to the door and into the guild.

"Hello young blood. What can I do for you?" He said in a raspy voice, not even looking up from his papers.

Cheania Manosse a skilled rogue and teacher can always be found beginning her mornings standing on the balcony of the Rogue Guild's outer edge facing the sun as it rises from the east.

She greets the morning as all elves then heads to the front hall, she wears a deep green cloak around her shoulders and a dagger hilt can be seen as she walks the halls. Only teachers and those heading out for a mission are permitted to carry a weapon. Students are only allowed to handle weapons durring defense classes, many new recruits grumble about this rule but in the end each and ever one compley for their only other option is to be put out from the guild.

As she descends the stairs her class is just exiting the main hall to assemble in the front hall and await their instructer. They line up in a row, her classes are always small for she only trains the best and brightest that can pass her tests. This group has four boys and only one girl, Cheania sees alot of herself in this child.

She clears her throat, they line up before her "Today we will be training in the tower, Ached, Lucis, Ged, and Thorn your mission today is to try and capture Aria." she looks at each pointedly and then gestrues to Aria.

The boys each grin on Ached it's a grin that can make anyone weak in the knees, for his blonde hair and green eyes pull you in without any trying on his part which made him ideal for Cheania's class. Lucis' grin gives off the feeling that he's up to something any that would see it would wish to run in fear but at the same time wish to stay and see what he's planned. Ged and Thorn the only twins to enter the guild each look pleased it's almost like you don't notice them, they can meld into their surrounds and are able to use their duality to their advanatage ever time.

Aria steps forward her brown hair is cut short so as not to intervere with her movements, her eyes a deep purple look overjoyed. "We will be in the south tower then?" she asks

"That's correct, The south tower is the forest section and it's time you all prove to me how well you can handle surviving on your own while being hunted. Aria is first who ever is able to capture her will be the new target, that is if it doesn't take all day for one of you to capture her. If that be the case they we will spend each day in the tower till each of you have proven to me that you can survive."

the all nod knownly for her threats are anything but just a threat, and the only way to pass is to last the entire day uncaptured.

[Dezonus]

The guards at the gate house watch the road to see if anyone's coming. In the distance they see a rather large white bird like creature. They take arms, for for all they know, it could be a dragon. After circling in the air for a while, the bird lands about half a kilometer from the gate house.

About 20 minutes later, Zieven aproaches the gate house.

"Did you see that bird thing?" asked one of the guards
"No, I don't believe I did" Lied Zieven, as it was him in Zyvestian form
"Ok, proceed" stated another guard

Zieven passes the Market district, he has no intrest in buying things, and reaches the fork in the road. He reads a sign, and finds out that there is a knight guild inside the castle. He thinks about it for a moment, as he does not want to accidently transform and kill the king.

However, as he is thinking, a theif comes up and steals his sword. He turns around and spots the theif. I must get the sword back at all costs, Zieven thought. That was his grandfathers sword (on his mothers side obviously), and was said to be blessed by god himself.

Zieven bolts at the theif, who is heading to the rogue guild. He feels his anger becoming more intense, his flesh starts to turn black, his skelleton becomes more visable. Within moments, Zieven is in full Zyvestian form closing in fast on the theif.

The theif looks over his shoulder, and sees the 3.6 meter tall flying beast closing in on him. He drops the sword and runs for dear life. Zieven punches the theif, sending him 3 meters from where he was standing. Zieven flies back to the sword to pick it up, then back to the theif. Zieven looks down on the theif, who is nearly dead from fear. Zeiven Transforms back to Human form.

"I should kill you for what you've done, but I'm better than that" stated Zieven. He did not want to let his Zyvestian half win, so he cut off the theifs hands.
"Now lets see you steal things"

Zieven went back to the fork, and entered the castle. He proceeded to the knights guild and entered. He saw a young man, and a rather strong looking man.

"I have come to perfect my sword skills a bit." Zieven states, whilst drawing his longsword "Who can help me?"

[Mahdi]

Merkin proceeded from the Gate House into Gossimus, clad in his dark black flowing cape with his gigantic stature he threaded fear into the delicate tapestry that was the young children's lives as he walked by... His muscles ripples with rage, he stomped down the roadway leading to the castle where the gaurds tried to stop him but he simply brushed them out of the way like an artist on a painting. Pushing through the doors and into the main courtyard, Merkin made a B-line for the throne room where the king spent most of his time.

Upon entering the throne room he marched right up to the king and grabbed him with one hand and lifted him from the floor
"You sent me on a suicide mission!" Merkin screamed at the king

"What are you talking about?" The king fearing for his life retorted

"That battle, most of your 'fearless' warrios ran when they saw that there was a large number of King Havasca's soldiers marching towards them!"

[Dezonus]

Zieven overheard Merkin screaming at the king.

"Hang on a minute," he told the guild master "I'll be back"

Zieven ran to the kings chamber. He saw Merkin, a tall vicious man looking furiously at the king. Merkin did look threatining, and was slightly taller than Zieven, but in his other form Zieven was almost twice Merkins height.

"What's Going on here?" Shouted Zieven

After the first day Cheania was pleased by the outcome. Not only did the boys not catch Aria but she was able to catch the twins.

After dismissing her class she stayed for a while in the tower looking out over her town. From her vantage point she was able to see Merkin's arrival and was able to tell even from high above that he was angery. A small smile crosses her face. "Halbert you have a problem on your hands!" she whispers to the air. She continues to stand and watch listening to the air.

She hears the anger in Merkin's voice and knows that if she can hear it then the knights guild can for sure. She turns and heads toward the front hall, deciding that a little walk may be usefull. She grabs her cloak from her room and heads toward the castle, she will only enter if called but being nearby may be may be helpfull.

[Deus]

Halbert finally looked up from his papers when he thought he heard the sweet whisper of Cheania voice.

"Not again..." Halbert sighed as he stood to his feet.

Picking up his sword he walked towards the exit. before entering the castle he seen cheania waiting intently outside.

"Lets go see what the problem is shall we." Halbert said as he motioned for Cheania to fallow, knowing full well what Merkins temper was like. For a Master Mage, he was the most reckless, yet the most skilled with magic.

Halbert entered the chambers, sheated sword in hand.

"What is going on here is that you have to leave... This is no business for a commen peasent." Halbert said to Zieven as he walked by and took up a position next to Merkin, rivaling him in size and stature.

"Please, keep your voice down. The whole of Gossimus doesnt need to know about this." Halbert said sternly. "Furthermore, those 'fearless' soldiers are just peasents that were inducted by the draft, which is something we need to rid ourselves of. If you let me hand pick the soldiers like i asked, we wouldnt have this problem. Alas, we may be forced to fix this problem by ourselves for the time being." Halbert said again turning from Merkin to the king.

"What do you propose?" Asked the king.

"Simple, send Cheania, Merkin and myself to clean up this matter."

"You three against a hord? Thats suicide..."

"We have more of a chance than these 'fearless' soldiers, Besides, Its better to stop them before they reach gossimus."

"Very well, though i dont entirely approve of this, i will allow it. We cant have them reach the city."

"I agree, but what concerns me is the abnormal activity of the creatures around this part, there becoming increasingly agressive. Perhaps we should be looking at closing up the city for a short time?"

"That might interrupt trade, our economy will suffer."

"That is a risk we might have to take. Regardless, we have to act real soon. Im going to get suited up, ill meet you two by the fountain." Halbert said to Merkin and Cheania. "Dont be late." He smiled.

Cheania had followed Halbert into the king's chamber and stood quietly, as always, while Halbert lays out his plan. She nods and turns to head back to her own guild to prepare for the mission laying ahead.

She leaves a message for her students that she will be away for while, they are to continue with there study's and their lessons would continue when she returns.

She checks her gear, Sword, dagger, herbs and salves for wounds, her ivory bow and stock of arrows. She decides to take her thief's pack as well, never know when it may come in handy anyway. She also packs a second set of pants and vest, statisfied with her items she rolls them into her pack. She puts on a different cloak then she normally wears in the town, it's made to hide her presence from all but those that know she's there. She smiles to herself a one of a kind treasure indowd with more magic then Merkin himself can break.

Leaving the guild she heads to the fountain square to meet her fellow travelers. She hates working with others but is always able to blend with Merkin and Halbert, the three are able to after so many years together work as one each complementing the others weaknesses.

[Dezonus]

Zeiven could feel his Zyvestian pressence growing stronger, but he could not let it win. If he did, everyone in the kings chamber, including the king, would be slaugtered. He needed something to make his Zyvestian side settle.

"I'll go to." said Zeiven

"But you don't even know what you're signing up to!" shouted the king

"I don't care, I want to fight" stated Zeiven

Merkin had set the king down and left the throne room, paying no attention to the winged beast that was screaming to come out of a man...

Stepping into the great Hall of the Mage's Guild Merkin passes the guards that he fabricated to stand by his chambers... he steps in and walk to his cabinet where he has a long black traveling cloak with a red cross on the back, he pulls it on and only his eyes and his hands are visible from without...

Stepping up to the fountain he spies Halbert and Cheania "Shall we go?"

Turning toward Merkin's approach she inclines her head slightly. "Lead the way for you alone among us knows from which way our enemy comes."

Cheania learned the first time she encounter Merkin, durring her first mission with him, that it's best to just let him lead. Besides unlike them she's never been one that likes to make decisions for others.

in a more respectfully then normal attitude "As always I will defer to your wisdom and guidence."

[Dezonus]

Zieven walked out of the throne room, and pulled a vial of liquid out of his pocket.

If I use this, thought Zieven, I should be able to control myself when I change. I just hope it works.

Zeiven walks up to the fountain

"I'm coming too" he says
