There is a perfectly logical explination for this... You see, George W. hired aliens living at Area 51 to give the Japanese mafia a giant magnet that can control the weather. BP, Shell, and Mobil placed agents into every manufacturer of clothes dryers to deploy the tiny sock Jihadists. If you listen carefully you can hear the little bastards yelling "Yeeeeeallahallahallah!" then a tiny explosion when you are drying your clothes..... Another sock lost to the terrorists....
