We had two Vaders scheduled, but Gary needs to leave early at around 3pm. I have heard a lot about your wife's Queen Amidalla costume. Tell her she needs to wear it. I know the kids would get a kick out of it as well.

If it does, we still have other activities that we can do inside with the kids. John will have an x-box system set up with Multi-player Star Wars games and surround sound for the kids to do. We also still have the Laser Tag, photos wit the kids, and I bought a pin-the-chestbox on Vader game from Party Universe for the kids to play for some small prizes. Not to mention, we still have things to auction and raffle off. By the way Scoutgirl, if you guys get lost, call me on my cell phone and I will give you directions. Check your PM for my number.

The car is loaded down with my clone and Vader so there is no room for the Amidalla. I did get both costumes in one small car so that in itself is a feat of magic. Laughing

Great event, so glad to finally put names and faces together. I am just sorry I had to leave early. We made it into MS and I knew I had to go to the hospital. Turns out I have what the doctor called Extreme sinusitus (spelling?) and I would need to have some killer antibiotics to fix it and vicitan to kill the pain. I'm cool now but still very sorry I had to bail.

Awesome event, I would say it puts it up there with all the Zoo's and MG. I would say everyone had a great, hot, fun time.

It was great to see all the troopers from MS come out, thz a ton. It was great to either see troopers again or meet for the first time. Alex, we all hope you get well real soon and are ready to troop some more.

Congrats to all for raising over $4000 Very Happy

It was a GREAT event for a very good cause. And that's what is all about. Outstanding job, Rodney! I loved seeing a trooper every direction I looked. It really was an Imperial take over. Laughing It was a pleasure to meet our fellow troopers from the great state of Mississippi. Hope to troop with you all again soon. Alex, sorry to hear you weren't felling well, hope you get well in a hurry. I really wished I could have stayed longer. Hope everyone had a good time and a safe trip home. I look forward to seeing you all at Babel Con.

I would like to personally thank everyone for coming out and helping with this worth while event for a great cause. I could not have pulled this off without your help.

To answer Bill's question about the photos, we had picked things up when the threat of a storm approached and decided to keep the equipment inside for the remainder in case it did rain. Theresa, our photographer was having problems with the heat but was still taking photos upon request. If she took photos for our guests, she would come back inside and print them for the customers. I think she did a great job with taking the photos.

I really believe that this event was very successful. John the manager at Funland said that he estimated that we had over 500 people show up for the event. His employees at the door collected over $2,000.00 in money just for the wrist bands. That didn't include the money they collected in private donations. My wife Lisa and Nicole collected around $1,600.00 in donations for the raffles, auctions, photos and private donations. And with the money from Fundland's proceeds, the total amount of donations came out to $4,026.00 and some change. John was so pleased with the turnout, that he agreed with doing this as a yearly event for a local charity. When we plan next years event, we can pick the charity, and have the event sometime during the fall and winter months, so we can spend more time outside.

After this event was over with, some of us took a photo with John (GM of Funland) and Carl Mayo (Marylin's Brother), giving Carl the donations that were collected at the event. I am going to take some of these photos and e-mail them off to the various media organizations, and tell them about how much we raised to help Marylin with her expenses. Carl wanted us to tell everyone involved in this event "Thank You!" from him and his family for everything we have done to help with his sister's expenses. He said that if there is anything we need from him, don't hesitate to ask.

Again, I want to thank everyone for their help. Take care & God Bless!

By the way a friend of mine at work said that his two boys had a great time playing Laser Tag against the bad guys....lol

Another co-worker said that when he brought his son to the event as they were pulling up to the entrance, his eyes got big looking at the Stormtroopers and Imperial Officers flagging the traffic. He then said his son loved getting his picture taken with his two favorite characters Darth Vader & Boba Fett.

Great Job Everyone!!! This is what it is all about.... Very Happy
