I am not sure how many of us are in the situation I am with my work hours being 8-5 Monday - Friday. Due to this I have been trying to get some practice in at night and getting to play a few actual rounds on the weekends here and there. I go over to Heritage High School's football field usually 2 or 3 nights each week to practice drives, upshots and putting. They have lights on the field and it is a very nice turf surface. I take my Discatcher Sport along each time and that works out very well. If anyone is in the same situation with not being able to get out on a course during the week before it is dark, feel free to come on over to Heritage and throw some. This is a public field and as far as I know it cannot be "reserved" so if another group of people are already using the field before I get there I do a lot of putting that night. Most nights that I have gone over to throw there, I never see another person the whole time I am there.

i am suprised no one has said anything to you. my brother and his friend were working on distance at blacksburg high school. a coach came and told them they had to leave the field. i might get the flx buzzz eventually from you,

Sounds good Patrick. Send me a PM and I will meet you somewhere in the Burg to get it back to you. Nobody is ever there and football season is over. I have seen a lot of people walking the track during warmer months, which I believe is why they leave the lights on at night. But with as cold as it is this time of year, there is never anybody there walking.

Before I had a basket, I used to go putt at Peaks View on hole 6 at night if the ballfield lights were on. We used to even play 1 thru 6 if the lights were on since 3 thru 6 were bright and 1 and 2 were barely bright enough.

A few years ago we used to go putt at Brookville indoors at night since I had access and used to live pretty close to it. We did long putts and short throws in the old gym and short putting in the wrestling room. That was fun.

From what I seen on the news last night, you might want to wear a breathing mask if going to Heritage.

Vince,

Indoor would be much better if I could find a place that would let me throw some discs around. However it is great to have the lined field for working on the line of my releases. It makes it so easy to track the flight path of the disc, I think it will help me to smooth things out a lot.

Jeff,

I heard something about that I hope it doesn't spread up to the field. Might be a little tougher to throw while wearing a gas mask.

I went over to Heritage last night only to find that the field was being used for a Rugby match.... yes I am serious. I am going to be there again tonight and hopefully the field will not be in use.
