I used to check out the net for endless game-play and found out about SimCity 3000 from my uni friends. It was a game where you create cities & watch them grow. Control all the city's development and especially healthcare, crime & education.

It is really a good game - you get to demolish & build skyscrapers or even do business with neighboring cities (like get them to sell trash vice versa, or water, electricity). After a while, in early 2000 was when Sims 1 was released.

Seven EPs later of Sims 1, came SimCity 4000 - where they enhanced the game with larger cities, 3D views (fantastic) & more game-play options building roads & railway tracks for the industrial products to shipped out of town etc. Began playing SimCity 4000 like there's no tomorrow.

Expansion pack - Rush Hour. Really cool!! You get to fly a Helicopter, drive a police car, become an ambulance chaser etc More transportation options, new roads, avenues, highways, toll booths, ferry ports etc

Played the game like I didn't have to go to work!

Then, came the Sims2 - installed the Sims2 - never left the house (except to work) & right before Uni EP came out, my hardisk FAILED.

Went and bought a new PC and re-installed the games (sheesh!!!)

Then NL came out - took medical leave, took 10 days leave etc just to keep playing!!

All this while I just keep interchanging SimCity & the Sims 2 !! Hopefully my PC doesn't die on me!!

Jeez like I have 72 hours in a day!! Laughing

Lol Max.

I have played SimCity since the very first one ever came out...THAT was soooo much fun for me...and it is NOTHING like they are now! LOL

I loved 3000...had the Unlimited edition. Bought 4000 when it came out, but the computer I had couldn't handle it too well...Those DANG parades..whenever they happend my computer would freeze and go slower than the slow bug in TS2. Finally just got rid of it because neither my hubby or I could really enjoy it too much.

now I have the sims, and haven't played any other PC game since (tho X-box has still crept in every now and then lol)

yeah, I use to love Sim City and I would love making little cities in it. I didn't get any of the newer ones though because I was too busy with legos when I was younger. I still have thousands of them.

I remember the days when i used to play Simcity 2000 and even 3000 when we got our very first computer. Then i moved onto the sims 1 and now sims 2, and i don't really play anything else, although, occaisionally Zelda and Mario games get me.

Woah.. I see not many are psyched up about the game LOL.

Rush hour is really cool though it's like an expanded version of your sims. Can't say much but it's totally cool...

Decker: I had the same problem with my 1st PC - it could only manage the 3000. The 4000 it either hangs or just re-booted itself UGH torture LOL Well that's why I just had to fork out 2000 out of my pay just to get a new PC Laughing Because I just can't live without one!! (Well, I told ya I have no life)

Arch: talk about LEGOS!!! I still have a few sets in my mom's store-room (I warned my mother not to dispose of them even when I'm no longer living with her coz I usually come home every month to check whether she threw anything out - even my Parker Brothers boardgame - Monopoly!! My Hi-Ho Silver horse is still there last time I checked.. he he) Wink

Tom: What happened lol!? Very Happy Did you just scrap out the Simcity game? Uninstalled it (?) Well yeah - if I'm no longer playing them it's just time to spring clean your PC icon_winkle.gif

Tyler: Well now since you got a new mate, I bet you're playing even less Sims2? Ha ha ha Laughing Laughing Mr. Green

Other than that would be Theme Hospital (it's kinda cute lol) but now with the new computer version with graphics card & stuff, it does not support the DOS game very much - you get fuzzy picts ...muwahahahaha I love playing Theme Hospital!! But I just play it on my Playstation on weekends.

Euwww talk about how games evolve with new PC specifications until they just are not in sync anymore...new games are supported by new PC specs & old games are just left to rot!! th_crying1.gif

I don't play SC4 Rush Hour much these days, or any game that much lately, including, gasp, NL Surprised ! I did play SC4 for a couple of nights about two weeks ago, and really enjoyed picking up where I left off - growing and developing my city neighborhoods.

I've pretty much got almost every Maxis title since the Original SimCity.

I still like to play SimTower too although only about once a year or so.

Ce

Yeah, I really don't have time to play the sims that much either. I decided to cancel my plans for a new series (for now) and start planning a new lot when I have the time (probably next month).
