Norco Christmas Parade December 5 - Update info

Gilamu Bast Alpha Garrison Archivist Joined: 28 Feb 2008 Posts: 1480 : Location: New Orleans Items	Posted: Thu Sep 16, 2010 9:31 am    Post subject: Norco Christmas Parade December 5 - Update info   We've been invited to march in the Norco Christmas Parade in St. Charles Parish on Sunday, December 5 (I know this is the same day as the RSR Toy Distribution, but perhaps we can divide and conquer). The route is about 2 miles long, and the parade organizers will feed us too. The parade starts at 2 pm, and goes to about 4 pm. We would need to arrive around 12:30 (awaiting exact address). There is normally a parade fee, but it has been waived for us because the committee wants walking groups. We will meet at 35 Apple Street in Norco. If you're coming from Baton Rouge, take I-10 east to exit 209 (2nd LaPlace Exit) and head to Airline Highway. From there, take a left. Apple Street will be the first light after you cross the Bonnet Carre Spillway (about 10 miles). Turn right; 35 Apple Street will be about a block from River Road. If you're coming from Jefferson Parish, take I-10 West to Exit 220 (I-310). Exit 310 at Airline Hwy South and proceed to Norco. Turn left on Apple (past the refineries, right before you hit the Spillway). We can start arriving at 11:00 (I'll be there a bit after noon). Santa will arrive at about 1:40, and the parade will start by 2:00. From there, take a left on Airline and then turn right on Apple right after the Spillway). Also, this will be filmed and broadcast. The announcer/commentator is a co-worker. Is there a set script I can give him?
