Fourth Annual RSR Toy Drive - 11/6, 11/27 & 12/5

Executor BAG Member Joined: 08 Feb 2007 Posts: 173 : Location: Denham Springs, LA Items	Posted: Wed Sep 01, 2010 3:06 pm    Post subject: Fourth Annual RSR Toy Drive - 11/6, 11/27 & 12/5   We're happy to announce that the dates for the Fourth Annual Christmas Toy Drive have been set for 11/6 and 11/27 from 10am to 4pm each day. This year we will once again be in front of the O'Neal Walmart (right off I-12) only this year both events will be there! In the past three years we have had over $5,500 worth of items donated and that's because of the great effort put forth by both groups! Once again this year, everything donated will go to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge at their event on Sunday, 12/5 from 1 - 3pm at the Embassy Suites in Baton Rouge. For those who couldn't make it last year, we must be sure to not to impede or in any way block the front doors of the store. Unfortunately, we cannot change in the store but will have the tents we used last year from Cancer Services (and if anyone else can spare one it would help). Last year we did a great job and the Walmart staff said they had a great response about us being there. Each year this drive has gotten better and better so please help out by coming out to either (or both!) events. Thanks in advance! I talked to Victoria with Cancer Services this morning and they are very excited! I was able to confirm that their event is going to be on Sunday 12/5 from 1 - 3 pm at the Embassy Suites in Baton Rouge (4914 Constitution Avenue). If you haven't been before - this event is a lot of fun and is well run - plus they are very good about sticking to the time of the event so it is over by 3. Like last year, they will have a place to change and keep our stuff so if you can make it be sure and come - the kids have a blast seeing us every year. As a matter of fact, this is from an email from Victoria with Cancer Services: I am not sure you are aware of just how big of an impact you and your group made on the people donating toys or the children and parents at our Holiday Party.
