Second Annual RSR Toy Drive - 11/22, 11/29 & 12/14

Executor BAG Member Joined: 08 Feb 2007 Posts: 173 : Location: Denham Springs, LA Items	Posted: Tue Nov 11, 2008 11:48 pm    Post subject: Second Annual RSR Toy Drive - 11/22, 11/29 & 12/14   This year the second annual Red Stick Rebellion Toy Drive will be on Saturday, 11/22 and Saturday, 11/29 (hours TBD, currently 10 - 4pm like last year). Both will be at the K.B. Toys at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Gonzales since the K.B. Toys in the Mall of LA closed. Everything donated this year will go to the Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge at their annual Christmas Party on Sunday, 12/14 from 1 - 3 pm where we will work with them and Santa to hand out the gifts collected from the earlier toy drives at K.B. Toys. I will post more information about the specifics of the event as we get closer to it so keep checking back. Last year, we had an incredible turn out and more donations that we could have imagined - and it the 501st played a large part in that so we are inviting all of the 501st to attend. We hope to have as many people come up to all of these events as possible - but, even if you can only even make it one - we'd be glad! This is a great event that you'll not want to miss! For those going in costume, they do have a room to change in (and restrooms for those needing more privacy) - but storing bins may not be possible in that same room because of it's size (we may need to store them in the cars once changed). After everything is official, I'll make sure and let everyone know what kind of room we're talking about. Also, once everything is official, I will have a flier made up to promote the event plus we're going to be doing a lot more other promoting as well. Has that changed to the dates listed here? 22nd is out for me, multiple family events including a wedding in the afternoon. 29th is more likely for me. Dewka

The Tanger opens at 9 am - so I will be there for then.
