One of the improvements I designed for the riser post was a quick
release so that I could move the position of the knee riser forward and
back from a normal starting spot. There are times that I could have really
used it closer and more times that I could have used it further away, like
out of the way type further away. It takes more time to remove the rest
than to move it out of the way for a standing shot, so when the timer is
ticking, seconds can be important. The first picture is the brand new unit
and the second is the revised older riser I have had for a while now. I
have added a few finishing touches to both since those pictures were
taken, but they are cosmetic, only. Thanks to Supr for bringing the design
from paper to metal.

The next item to come will be for the attaching of the front rifle sling swivel. It will be quick adjustable so that the length can be switched from offhand to kneeling to prone, leaving the sling at a fixed length. It takes far too much time to switch the sling between positions, but a couple of seconds to move it forward or back to the right spot for each. Even though the butt plate is not a quick-adjust type, I have figured out a very simple way to do that, too. All I need to do is figure out a few more things I need from the place I get my hardware from. 25 dollar minimum plays havoc sometimes.
