Test fired this puppy tonight and am very happy so far. Next is mounts for a red dot, fresh paint on the barrel shroud, and a modified mag to fill the gap and make it look good.
Inspired by the H&R 195 Single Shot Target Pistol,,,,,,,,,

This is the second 357 that I have turned into a single shot, here is the first converted to .22.

Very interesting work Doc FG.
I have one of these with an 8" barrel languishing at present. I was toying with the idea of converting to .22 .
Any internal mods on the .22 conversion?
Any chrony numbers for the .22?
Thanks. |

Dr. F.:
Is there a tie to FT with this pistol?
Very interesting conversion, though. _________________ Keyrigger

Yup, This will be one of my FT pistols. Hopefully by the time we get to shooting I'll have three. Besides the fact that it is nice to have a spare in case my main pistol fails I would like to have spares on hand just in case someone new that doesn't have a pistol shows up and would like to try it. _________________ frankengun@hotmail.com |

I like what you've done to that gun....
Did you have to mod the latch mechanism at all?....
It's been my experience with those guns that the latches tend to be a weak link.... _________________ Shoot Safely, Shoot Often & Share Your Sport!

The latch on this one seems fine. I have been shooting with it in the basement today and the accuracy is unexpectedly good with the original sites. I expect that with a red dot mounted on the barrel shroud it will be even better. _________________ frankengun@hotmail.com |
