Hi,

what is the minimum allowable Brake Pads thickness?
Is there a manual adjustment on the VW Caddy Van brakes?
My brakes are feeling a bit "spongy" at the moment.
I have done 37,600 Km and I am very light on the brakes.
I use the gearbox the slow down most of the time.

yes the minimum thickness is about 1mm lol

i did 63k on the originals and i do about 20k into my area and drive around the suburbs all day and 20k home , about 100K per day

so a lot of stop start traffic driving

4 years old would be good idea to bleed through new fluid possibly have some air or moisture in the fluid

easy brake bleed gadget at kmart/supercheap 1 way bleed valve , bleed the brakes in no time at all for under $15

there is no adjustment to the brakes

Thanks Johhnie5,

I had the brake fluid replaced (I paid for it anyway) at 36,000 Km.
I hope it was done.
I will have a look for the brake bleeding kit.
