** This is an RP i started a long time ago in another forum. It was actually quite successful. By the time we were finished we have well over 100 posts, and we eventually started another one, a sequel so to speak :P I hope everyone joins in as i set the scene for another excellent RP **
Gothic Town.. Where to start. It was nestled in the corner of two mountian ranges, at the foot of the mountian path. To the south was outstretched plains of rolling grass as far as the eye can see. Some called it Green Ocean Feilds, for on certian days you could see waves under the sunlight pushed by the gentle hand of the wind. There wasnt much farming here. Most everything was brought in my merchents, at least when it came to food. In the mountain in the old days, there used to be a mine and this town was actually quite properous at times. When the rush for ore was on the down and out, they shut down the mine. By saying rush, i mean war. As the only need for the mine was to fulfill the orders for weapons by the king. A few short years after the mine opened it was closed again because the war had ended. But the folks of Gothic Town never stoped making weapons, and they became legendary as blacksmiths in this part of the land.
But Gothic Town was home to strange things as well as people. There are stories of things that come and go. The town had become a centerpoint for a war of another kind, and the town didnt know. It was a meeting ground for some, neutral territory. No one dare start a war here, because for some reason this town known as sacred ground. The place where hell and heaven hath no home. This town was purgatory. The realm between realms. No one side controlled it. But it had become a haven for the exiled and a meeting ground for those that travelled between worlds. It was also the home of Christopher Dietrich.
Dont know that name? Well you should. He's the only one of his kind. And his name is seldom forgotten to those that had the chance to speak it. He is a man of shadows and mystery, yet born of the light. He has the voice and wings of an angel, but the fangs of the devil.
Christopher's story is one of joy and sadness. A long long time ago he left the company of god in order to live out a mortal life with a woman, But he was unable to become mortal again. On a night like any other, he was attacked and bitten by what we call a vampire, thus becoming one of a kind. The only angelic vampire to walk these lands.
At first he stayed near the city, to watch over his wife and kid. But as time passed they only grew older, until they were no more. He had tried to keep track of the family through the years, but to no prevail. Eventually, he just forgot all about it. Until one day...
Out of the night came the most beautiful of creatures. A woman with long flowing red locks and a smile as bright as the sun. She peered into Christophers heart and he fell in love. She too was a vampire, one of the sea. Time passed on again. As all good things start, they also come to an end. After a long and perilous battle for her heart, Christopher was again, the last man standing.
And now, gothic town has become his last home. A place to restart.
The day was bright, only a few clouds speckled the sky. Everyone in Gothic Town seemed to be in a cheerful mood, especially the children who were playing kickball near the hill. One child kicked the ball to hard and it bounced toward the hill.
"Go get the ball billy!" One kid shouted to the other.
The child looked up to see the tall black cathedral on the hill. It had an ominous appearance which clearly firightened the kid who stood there only staring up at it.
"Billy?!" The kid shouted again. "Get the ball!"
The other kids werent looking to where he was. He examined every each of the tower as if his life depended on it. All the other kids words were falling on deaf ears, Billy was trasfixed upon the steepel of the cathedral. There stood a figure, perched like a bird upon the cathedral's cross. It looked at him and billy's heart began to thump. His eyes grew wide. All the other kids stopped yelling and stared at Billy in wonder. Then they looked to the cathedral as well. The figure on the cross stood up straight and stretched out his peril white wings. The kid's mouth's gaped as the figure flapped his beautiful wings once and disappeared into the clouds.
Christopher hated being spotted. But at least it was by kids. Adults had the more harsher tendancy to bring pitchforks the second time around. It was better to be invisable christopher thought. The world only fears what it doesnt understand. Being a vampire in the city was easy, especially when it came to blending in. Small towns where a little more tricky, because they suspected anything and everything it seemed. But day after day Christopher watched as more and more demons and halflings came and went. Perhaps something was going to happen. You could always leave it to lucifer to be unsatisfied with his own world. Or maybe it wasnt lucifer. Christopher didnt know, this was all just speculation.
Christopher slowed his pace and began to decend. Upon landing he decided that he would walk back to town. There was still a few more hours of sunlight and he was only a short distance from the cathedral. Thankfully, it was all down hill.
After some time of walking, Christopher came upon the rear entrance to the cathedral. This allowed him to slip in unseen, as the front face of the place smiled upon the town. His quarters was just under the bell tower, in what used to be a storage space. He set up a bed on the floor, and managed to move an old book shelf in for his reading material. On the side of his bed were donzens of burnt wax candles. He managed to find the priests candle storage and kept them for his own.
Christopher entered the cathedral, climbed to the top of the bell tower and peered out over the town as the sun set. The orange glow looked so beautiful on the back set of Green Ocean Feilds. It was peaceful and set his heart at ease to look upon it. But as peaceful as this moment was, Christopher longed for the heat of battle.... _________________ 13 beers to the boarder boys... Robin Klyne :A women of 25 with long black hair and eyes of red widowed a year before durring a vampire attack is packing up her belongings. She is half human and half demon raised to respect her human half and suppress her demon nature she looks to the south and find a new start. Many in her village of High Town believe that the vampire attacks are because of her very prescense and they wish her to leave them in peace. As such and nolonger welcome where she had lived for so many years she decideds to head to a new area were it is said to be a peacfull haven for all who enter. She takes with her two horses, supplies for a journey and few things to start a trade when she arrives, her husbands sword and scabbard and her demon fathers power ring to protect her mind and soul if she should have to call upon her demon powers for protection.
Nearly a month passes when she finnaly arrives in Gothic Town she feels safe for the first time in a long time and the beauty to her demon eyes is beyond belief. The villagers look at her cautiously for not many new comers stay more then a few days at best before passing through. Quickly heading to the center of town she finds the home of the elder and enters. She respectfully asks if she may reside in the town and if not would they by chance at least have a place for her to stay the night. The elder replies "Child for tonight you may stay in the cathedral on the hill and tomarrow we will discuss where you may live."
"Thank you elder, i'm most greatful"
the elder calls for a child who enters quickly he's about 10, the elder motions him forward.
"Billy please escort this lady to the cathedral on the hill."
the boy simply nods and motions the women to follow him out. They lead her horses to the cathedral on the hill. As she approaches she is awe struck by the beauty of this bldg on a hill. As they arrive the child quickly leaves and heads back to town and the women enters. A priest greets her and shows her to a travelers room were she can find rest.
"Thank You 'father' this is most appriecated"
he turns and leaves and the women lays down finding peace and true rest for the first time in months. |

It was just at sunset when Christopher seen a strange woman walk towards the cathedral. A demon? Or.. A vampire? He did not know. But what was certian is that there was something about this girl that was amiss. He watched as she walked slowly to the cathedral doors, knocking the preist answered and let her in. He remained at his perch on the cathedral tower. Peering out over the green feilds watching the sun cast and orange shroud on the country side. All kinds of things came and went in this place. Christopher was certian that she would be gone soon as well.
"I wonder where Decker is..?" Christopher said aloud to himself.
Decker was a companion that he picked up some years ago. The loyal blackbird had rarely ever left his side. Every night Decker would come back as if you wish christopher a good night.
Christopher stretched out his arm and whistled once. Seeming to appear out of nowhere, Decker flew into sight and landed softly on Christophers arm. Christopher brought the bird close to his face. The bird bowed softly as Christopher kissed him slightly on the forehead.
"How is Decker today?" Chrstopher asked the bird.
Decker merely whistled as Christopher smiled slightly. This bird was the only thing that was able to bring joy to his sad face. For some inate reason, Christopher could sense his last love in this bird. It was the last thing he had to remind him of her. Nocturna. The beautiful evil from the sea. How he longed for her sweet embrace again. His heart would forever be hers. _________________ 13 beers to the boarder boys... Keep chuggin!!

Riseing with sun as usuall Robin cleans up the area she slept in and repakes the things she used that night. The priest greets her and offers her with a breakfast, "It's not much my child but it is hot." "Thank you father this is most appriciated." She politely accepts the meal of simply pourage and bread. After eating she heads to the town.
Stepping into the morning air she breaths deeply and takes in all the sounds as she walks. Hearing birds chirping and a small stream nearby with the sun comming up she hears the children of the town start to ster. Some heading to chores and others to school. She is greated more warmly by the villagers. A little girl even gives her a flower from the field. The elder is waiting for her and explanes that the school is looking for a new teacher to take care of the younger children. If she would be willin then they can make her a temperarie teacher for a week or so to see how she does if everything works out then she would be excepted completly. She quickly agrees and looks forward to teaching for learning is her passion.
After all things are settled the elder takes her to the school building, there are two homes nearby he explaines that one is taken by the teacher for the older students and the other she can use. They head into the school and she's introduced to the other teacher,
"Miss Maria this is Miss Klyne she will be the new teacher for the younger children if you could help her out to get settled it would be appriciated."
the women ,miss maria, smiles and offers her hand "It's nice to meet you i've been hopeing for a second teacher the younger children get so bored when i'm helping the older ones that many of stopped comming this may get attandence back up i think." The elder leaves allowing the two women to get aquanted.
It doesn't take long for the village to learn about the new teacher and the students quickly go to the school to see if she's anygood. The first head to pop in is that of the boy that escorted her to the cathedral, looking up she smiles and motions him in "Billy right? I'm Miss Klyne would you like to help me set up?" He eagerly nods and runs to help her with her books, he's never seen so many in one place before at home they only have two and he's not allowed to touch them but this lady has a trunk full and she's letting him move them with her. Other children start to arrive and in only moments with so many hands helping the classroom is set up and ready for the day to begin. Robin moves to the front of the room and smiles to the younge children before her.
"Welcome children my name is Robin Klyne you may call me Miss Klyne. I'd think that we should first get to know everyone what do you all think?
in unison the all start to say their names, smiling she calms them down "One at a time please one at a time. Lets start her in the front first."
A small boy stands he's shy and quitly says "Matthew" then sits back down, the girl next to him jumps up and says "April, I'm 8" then sits down. This continues each child more excited then the last "John, Mark, Ron, Judith, Erin, Arin, Brie, Rini, Robert, Holly, Christopher" and the last to stand is "Billy" with that done she smiles and begin's the class. |

Christopher had went to bed shortly after the sun set. The room in the bell tower was ideal for him, because he could come and go as he pleased without interruption. Not only that, but people couldnt exactly get on the roof during the night to get in. The only other way was through the priests office, and that was a room that was usually kept locked.
He was also up with the sun, and a few times during the night. He wasnt much of a sleeper. Not since his past ordeals. But since he had come here, he had a stalker of a differnt sort.
"What do you want Longinus?"
"I cant fool you, can I?." Said a voice from the shadows. A man emerged with folded black angel wings and a sinister face. "You have a demon in your presense.."
"What of her?" Asked Christopher bluntly
"Ahh, I see you know already."
"Yes, she came yesterday, from the plains."
"And your going to let her stay?"
"What would you have me do? Kill her?"
"Yes actually, thats exactly what i want you to do."
"Ive told you before Longinus, I dont do your bidding. And you know its forbiddin on holy grounds such as this."
"Then lead her away from here..."
Long ago Longinus was cast from heaven for wrong doings. He was once a supirior angel. In a heated argument he struck and killed another angel, and god punished him to live amoung the mortals. God also gave Longinus ebony wings, so signify to whoever he met of his deeds. His story is told by many, and even writtin in the biblical scripture.
Christopher didnt want to do it. She didnt seem like she would harm anyone, but it was his 'job' so to speak. In his spare time Christopher actually hunted and killed demons. He had been doing it for a thousand years. But now, he wanted peace. He hadnt killed demons in quite some time, and his whole pupose to being here was to get away from his 'job'.
"It will ensure your path to heaven.." Longinus stated.
"Fool! I am immortal just like you. I think its time you left..."
"Everyone dies eventually. Weather it be a mortal death, or by the hand of another. No one really lives forever..."
Longinus took a step back into the shadows and disappeared. His words hung heavy on Christophers mind. He wanted a mortal life. But he also had a 'job' to do, and his loyalty to his creator had not wained over time.
He left his bedroom and climbed the twising staircase to the belltower. There he perched on the roof once more and peered out over the town, contemplating what to do with his time. _________________ 13 beers to the boarder boys... Keep chuggin!!

The day with the children past quickly and with so much enjoyment Robin felt like she had finnale found a place to live without fear. As she headed back to the cathedral ,for the things she had left there and to thank the priest once more, one of the adults stopped her.
"Miss Klyne, correct?"
"Yes, is there something you need Mr?"
"Oh forgive me, It's Mr. William Timbers, my son Bobby is one of your students."
"Ah yes nice to meet me Mr. Timbers. What can I do for you today?"
"Oh nothing I was just wondering if you would like to have dinner with my family tonight? Bobby hasn't stopped talking about you since he got home from school. My wife Kire and I thought it would be nice to get to know you."
"Thank I would be honorded to attended dinner at your home, I have to get some things from the cathedral and then i'll be over latter this evening. Good Day Mr. Timbers."
"Good Day Miss Klyne."
As they part Robin smiles inwardly for these people really will except her for her human self and her demon aura will stay in check.
Upon entering the Cathedral and not seeing the priest she heades for the room she stayed in gathers the things she had packed up and looks around for the priest. A door in the back of the building leading off from the main room must be the door to the priest's office. Knocking softly and getting no reply she checks the handle, if it's unlocked she'll go in and leave a note for the priest on his desk if not she will try another day. Taking a deep breath she turns the handle and to her suprise finds it unlocked, I guess i'm suppose to enter after all. She thinks to herself. Walking to the desk she quickly finds a parchment and a felt and writes a quick thank you and signs it. She turns and looks out the window the view from his office is absolutly splendid you can see all of the valley from this point.
She turns to leave and spots another door near the window out of curiousity she opens it to find a spiral stair case leading up into the bell tower. Wishing to see what kinda of view you can have from there she quickly runs up the steps, as giddey as a child finding something new. She reaches the top not paying any attention to the fact that there are obvious signs that someone lives there and looks out. Just as expected the view is magnificent, wishing she had a canvas and charcole with her to sketch the beauty she sees she decides that if the priest gives permission she'll return so paint this view that has so captured her heart. She stands and watches the sun set forgetting about her dinner invitation. |

Christopher fell into a daze as he gazed upon the town. The words of Longinus still ringing in his head. His simple life was not so simple anymore. Despite Longinus being a servent of evil, his words were true. Perhaps it would come to battle, though he sensed no evil in the girl. But it still could be there, he thought to himself. Theres always a chance of masking true feelings, something christopher had not mastered yet. He had a tendancy to wear his heart on his sleeve.
His thoughts were interruped by the pitter patter of feet coming up the stairs. Could it be the priest? No, it wasnt sunday yet. Imerging from the bell tower an onto the roof of the catherdral was the mysterious lady he had seen the day before, the very same one Longinus was refering to earlier. Christopher watched her like a hawk from the top of the bell tower roof, which was only a short distance up. She was completely oblivious to Christoper perched upon the tower.
"You shouldnt be here..." He stated, knowing full well his words my make her jump.
"You should leave, before its too late... They know your here."
He was positive that she wouldnt know who exactly he was referring to, but in the Longinus circle, it was a mix between dark and light. He often traveled with a shadow walker called Darken, who delved with the dark lords of the lands to the far west. Longinus was a sort of messenger between the two worlds, though if he picked a side, it would most likely be evil.
Christopher stared down at the girl from the roof, waiting for the obvious question of 'who knew she was here?'. _________________ 13 beers to the boarder boys... Keep chuggin!!

Total lost in thought she jumps when a voice comes from beind and above her. Turning slowly for she did not know someone was here and feeling that she may have intruded on someone else's space. She bows her head slowly in an applitic way.
"Forgive me I didn't know anyone was up here i'll head home now. But why do you wish me to leave the town I thought all were welcome here? Who is it that wishes me gone anyway."
She can only stare at the man that sat perched above her, his wings showed beauty even tucked up against his body. With the setting sun behind him he looked an angel sent to protect this place, but at the same time he had a look of a warrior ready to fight if need be. Unable to move caught between the beauty surrounding her and the awe of the man speaking to her she can only stare. |

"Its not that I, or someone, wants you to leave.. Your in danger here. You.. are a demon, are you not?"
Chritopher didnt know what to think when he saw her face. She didnt have the look of an evil doer. In fact, she was quite beautiful. Christopher caught himself stairing a little. He couldnt help it. Demons were normally ugly, or at least the ones he had met and delt with. he shook his head, as if to break the spell.
"What... is your name?" He asked, in a rather unpolite manner.
He didnt talk with people much, or rather demons, unless he was going to kill them, or drink their blood. Which was something he desperately tried to refrain from doing. He managed to stick to woodland animals for the most part, but they could never quench the thirst. _________________ 13 beers to the boarder boys... Keep chuggin!!

Startled that he recognized her demon half she was slow to reply
"I'm only half demon, i've lived my whole life with humans and pefer their company to demon. The way demons kill without question is opposite what I was taught by my parents. My father may have been a demon but he choose to live with my mother a human and teach me that killing for pleasure is never right."
taking a breath realizing that she's ranting she stops. Noone had ever brought up this sore subject since she was a child and first lost her father durring a demon raid. That night was forever burned into her memory for her father proved that a demon, even one of high level, could live with humans for that night he a sacrificed himself to protect the village.
"You asked my name didn't you. It's Robin Lacuris Klyne. And i'm not leaving any time soon these people have excepted me and I wish to live here."
Turning toward the view again she spreads her arms wide.
"The beauty of this place is wonderful and I choose to live within it like my father chose to. I won't be rushed out of a town again because of the demon blood in my veins!" |

Christopher looked up at the sunset. It truely was beautiful, there was no doubt. The soft orange glow over the vast green feilds were breathtaking to say the least.
"You coming here may have put these townsfolk in jepordy. I do not know exactly what will happen.. I just know what I was suppose to do.. what i wont do..."
He paused, still captivated by the sunsent, contemplating Robins words. This was something he had never seen before, a demon with a heart. This was unlike any creature born of fire, through she was born amoung humans, she still bore the mark.
"How rude of me, I never introduced myself."
Christopher stood up, and spread his wings, stretching them to full length. In the orange glow his pearl wings seemed golden.
"I am Christopher Deitrich." Like a gentleman, with one hand out and one across his chest, he bowed slightly.
"Though this my startle you, I am a demon slayer. But... I only slay those with an evil heart, or no heart per say. I protect this village, and I will be watching you, though i see no harm in your eyes. However, theres more to you than just demon... isnt there?"
Christopher had a nack for seeing what others didnt. But he never usually stated what it was he saw.
Folding his wings christopher sat down on the bell tower roof, peering once again over the nearly set sun. Only a few moments of sun set left, and then it was gone for another night. _________________ 13 beers to the boarder boys... Keep chuggin!!

"Your very perseptive."
She turns and looks up at Christopher, he's more handsome then she first realized.
"My father had a soul given to him when he saved my mothers life. From that day forth his demon nature of evil disappeared. As a result I was born more human then demon. If you don't mind I would like to return in the evenings to paint the view from you bell tower."
She heads to the steps to return home and stops at the top to turn and get one last look at the view. |

William Vincent: He is a 70 year old draconian he had a spell put on him to make him into a human form to become ruler of a kingdom.
draconian form: he is 7 foot tall weighs 300 pounds and he has black dragon skin with dark red skales the scales when he flies are often thought that he is wounded because they look like blood from afar when moving quickly he is 70 (as said above) he longed to be accepted in the human race so he had a spell put on him to make him apear to be human
after the spell was put in he became king of Death Kingdom by assasinating the old king and basicly took over the whole kingdom
Human form 27 Years old. He is about 200 pounds and has black hair to his shoulder. He has broad shoulders and is 6 foot tall. He is ex-King of Death Kindom that fell to anarchy do to the discovery of vampires in the kingdom. He knew where they we're and did nothing. His loyalst members became his worst enemies. He was force exile or death. He left his old kingdom set to gothic town for a new begining. Months past as the former king had to learn to hunt and fight with no one by his side. When finaly one day he was hunting and discovered a wild horse. He captured the horse and rode for weeks to reach gothic town.
When Willaim entered the town he made his way through the town to the cathedral. As he entered he found the elder praying. When the elder notices Williams presence he says
"Hello and who might you be sir?"
"I'm William Vincent. I'm here to see if its possible for me to live in Gothic Town."
"Well we just had a teaching job filled in and I think there might be a black smitthing job opened. If your interested you may have the job but you'll have to have some skills in black smithing before you may get the job."
"I would be glad to take the job I am a Skilled black smith but i havn't done it in some time."
"Well tomorow you will show your black smithing capabillites and if your accepted I will find a place for you to live, now for tonight you may stay here in the cathedral for the night there is a room to your left that you can stay in for the night as for me i have to be off for the night to perform an exorcism to this demon child"
"Thank you elder but before you go do you know of anyone who can dispel a form" he tells the elder the story of him being a draconian
"so you see elder i need to find a person to dispel"
"tomorow i'll take you to christopher he should be able to help you now i'm off"
"thank you elder"
And with that William went off to bed and had his first good rest since anarchy threw him out of his power and his life's work...

Under the cover of darkness a goliath shadow takes flight, wings flapping heavily yet silent as it soars, it lands on the cliffs just outside of Gothic Town. The great ebony colored wings of this beast fold into its body and from the heights descends an armor clad warrior black as night.
Making camp on the outside of Gothic Town the Demon Slayer, Dragoon settles in for the remainder of the night
"Morning I will make for the town center" He tells himself as he drifts off to sleep |
