The Phoenix Guild
Code of Conduct and Regulations
Full-time presence on the guild is not a requirement. However, once you are on the guild, members must abide by the code, regulations and policies of our guild.
Members should attend published guild meetings. If you are unable to attend, please inform the guild of your absence by posting on the website.
Our guild is an order built on strong values and integrity. Thus, we have a fundamental Code of Honor and Conduct. All members are bound by this code and will carry themselves at all times in a manner befitting of our code.
Honor
Valor
Compassion
Integrity
Humility
Differences in opinion within our guild are natural and to be expected, but profanity, name-calling, offensive disrespect, racial and sexual harrassment will absolutely not be tolerated. Offenders will be notified and will receive three public warnings on our website from the guild leaders, after which they will be reviewed for expulsion.
To preserve the order and honour of our guild, all matters of disagreement and discipline within the guild will be handled by the guild leaders. Complaints and issues are only to be presented to the guild leaders. Do not air grieviences publicly, in order to ensure a fair hearing of the case.
Our guild does not approve of nor allow Power-Leveling as an official guild practice. General requests for Power-Levelling on the guild channel, and repeatedly asking for power-levelling in /tell, are not acceptable. The same applies to 'Gil/Equipment Borrowing' and 'NM Camping'.
Personal agreements between guild members are a private issue and are between the members involved only. However, all members are still bound by the same code, regulations and policies of our guild, and consequently the same disciplinary system.
With all that said, being on the guild does not mean that members are obligated to answer every request for help. All members should use their own discretion and good judgement in offering/accepting help.
Potential Guild members must be told/shown these policies and agree to them.
Thanks to Erynion for the Rules from our previous guild.
