I have decided that now would be a good time to begin to write down my experiences in my quest to..... well, it seems everyone needs some kind of quest to be anything around here. So i have decided my quest will be to bring herbal enlightenment to the creatures of Tyria so we all can learn to coexist, and right the occasional wrong here and there, one has to score some karma points with the gods from time to time, though I feel Mel and I have a certain understanding.

So where to begin it seems i have been on the road for ages, which actually is not that wrong come to think of it. Suffice to say that i am a simple person set upon by not so simple circumstances. Necessity is a harsh taskmaster, i have been forced to learn the tradecraft of the woodsman warrior, though i prefer solving problems with a friendly gesture and mutual understanding. Sadly this state of mind is very rare in the land at this point.

In a land, where sadness thrives, despair is abundant and cruelty is king.
Goodness will rise, selflessness will come forth and righteousness will triumph.

I happened to get involved in the siege of Ascalon and later in the two year fight against the charr before the searing. Im not really sure how, i really should hold back on the herbs when i need to rember what and why i have done as i have.

It is not all bad though, i have had the pleasure of meeting nice people on the way, not all bent on killing and destruction. Worth to mention is the odd pair i met in the Shiverpeaks, Alfred and Cedric, talking about an odd couple, the only thing that binds them together is friendship and loyalty, they view the world quite differently.

Also in the Shiverspeaks i met the Monk Malcolm what a boring fellow, but he did seem to have taken a strange interest in Alfreds fate.

In some strange way i got drawn in when Alfred and Ced got involved with the theathre, that bunch of people have issues.... really, i think i might fit right in.

I have found some rangers who seems to share the same interest in natures potent cures as i have. Though they are a bit more straight forward in their aproach to life than i am, we are getting along pretty well.

I have also made the Aquaintance of the Monk Isaac, he seems strangely normal compared to the rest of the lot, but a decent fellow to have at your side in a fight.

Also i have traveled a good deal with the Sorcerer Mikanaya, she is a nice person, and her occasional healing when i tend to forget that not everyone is as friendly as i am, is very much apreciated.

I will probably have to write down my thought about the rest of the guildmembers at some point, but i feel that i have to get to know them better first.

Back to my travels, Freezing in the peaks, scorching in the jungle of kryta, still wearing my fur-lined armor, soaking in the naguma jungle, STILL wearing the Fur-lined armor. We had a lot of trouble with a certain set of watchtowers, so finally we decided to leave them and come back later.

We had some fun running to the temple of ages sticking lots of arrows in monsters who refused to see the errors or their ways and accept friendship....... actually i think i might have showered them with arrows first and asked afterwards. I might have to rething my strategy.

I found the missing princess that people seemed to be looking for, and then in reward i were taught some new tricks i didnt need, but that is life.

I met this strange fellow named, Vizier ?? that might be a title, anyways, he was all like, go here do that, get this, kill that, and then ascend. WHY on EARTH do those kind of people always speak in an language no sane man would understand ? I took my frustration out on some monsters, forgetting to ask for friendship..... this migh have hurt my karma a bit.

And then their were this restless spirit, he were driving me mad with his constant moaning, i even offered him some herbs, but he had some major problems ingesting them. We decided trying cooking them and letting him "inhale" the mist. Then he got really strange and started telling some less than savory stories from when he was alive and young.

NOTE. Never give spirits herbs, too many stories, too much I DID NOT WANT TO KNOW THAT.

Finally we convinced him to go to his graveyard and go to sleep.

When we returned back to the ship we were supposed to board for Amnoon the fool Vizier had surrounded himself with more enemies than i could count in present state of mind. All waiting for the first sight of our little party to start a very onesided battle. Well that was it for the Vizier, i guess that guy Darwin was right after all. I shot a few of my explosive arrows at the through of enemies, for once taking enjoyment in the monsters numerous cries of pain....... then the Vizier was lost to sight.

Well enough of this, i am now in Amnoon, STILL wearing my fur-lined armor...... i am going to talk to Ced i think he has some minotaur horns which some strange guy is willing to trade for some new armor parts.

Today i went on a happy little jaunt with Isaac and Mika we cleared out the path to Dunes of despair with a drunk ranger named Jaxom and a fine looking Warrior going by the name, well i have forgotten but she wore chainmail. Later we made the Denizens of the despair region see the error of their ways and scored a bunch of points with the gods. Later yet i ran together with Isaac to the thirsty river... i am reallys starting to wear down my old leather boots, i will have to get a new pair soon, but i like em and they have been with me for a long time. I wonder if i should give them a golden laquer and put them on display in the guildhall, "the famous presearing running boots of Viktor".

Well the mission in thirsty river pretty much took care of it self, we had a reasonably competent team and due to my skills with a bow we easiliy distracted the spellcasters and completed the mission. I still say we should have tried my method of friendly herb aided reasoning though.

After that i met a poor lost ranger, so i ran him to the gorge and then later to Elona, one has to help out a fellow friend of Mel after all.

Then i participated in completing some odd ritual, at least it seemed odd to this herbal induced happy being.

The group was rather erratic, and they seemed to have misunderstod the premises that the mission had.

but we got the crystals and we even got all helper priests awakened.

Next up on the were the less the friendly half of myself
well that did not turn out to be that hard, im weak.

I also had a lot of fun with Ethan teasing Varg, and generally being obnoxious. We met a pretty Sorcseress and Ethan had to try to charm her.

Oooh yes, speaking of Ethan, he might have managed to run to the gorge instead of Thirsty River as planned, now that takes some mad skillz.

Well that was most of it, i will chew some herbs and go to sleep, i need it.

Another eventful day in Tyria.

Today i have traveled far and wide and have had all too little time for enjoying my herbs. well i guess that is the price you have to pay for doing all this saving the world business.

I went to the temple of ages to take care of some priest who had strayed from the enlightened path..... or as Moonlight would have said it, turned his back to the old gods, besides Mel thought it was a good idea. So together with the whole team of henchmen i set out from the temple to find this priest. What a letdown that priest was, first he refused to discuss the errors of his ways, then he resorted to violence, which he sucked at by the way, i could have taken him and his friends almost alone.

After that i set out for some lost documents, rumored to be among some tengus. Its nice to know that im not the only one going around loosing important stuff, like herbs and royal documents. Velion, some other guy who asked to come along and I quickly dispatched a goodsized Tengu host recovered the documents and were taught a few new tricks as a reward.

After that we met up with Rakk and Alexa who seemed intent on going hunting for some seer dragon. I didnt like the thought of slaying such a magnificent beast, but when i asked Mel, she told me to go ahead and try, i think she thought we would fail miserably.

Well, we did not.

In a rather strange fight where we forced Glint, that's the name of the dragon by the way, to run around like a mad dog, we managed to slay the beast. And that even though i held off my more damaging attacks for a long time waiting for Glint to start casting spells i could interrupt. Im not sure, but i think Glint may have faked her own death, because when she died a portal lit up and we could travel to drognars forge, it might have been some kind of test.

When we arrived in Droknars forge, I decided in one of my less than brilliant moments to buy a new armor, and salvage my own nice and warm Fur-lined armor. So now i havegone from sweating in a Furry armor in the desert to freezing in a stick padded piece of leather in the snow. Anyways, we set out for the cave of sorrows, having a great trip, and bringing some enlightenment to the dwarves.

From there we set you to save Saidra and Evennia, now that is a cause worth much effort, such a lovely pair they are, especially Saidra. Gods that sorcerer Rakk can be pushy, "go here, dont attack that, wait up, run there". Well in his defense i have to admit that he got us through the mission rather effortlessly, so i guess i can forive him. Sadly though Saidra took it upon herself to sacrifice her life so that we could escape, silly girl, i could have led them on a wild goosechase if that was what they needed. Well truth to tell i am a bit saddened myself, i would have liked to get to

know Saidra a bit better, she seemed a capable woodsman. Evennia was quite angry with the gods and put them on warning. I would not speak to Mel that way, she might take offense you know. I instead took out my anger on some dwarves blocking our way, not the most enlightened way of handling things, but i were out of herbs at that point.

Then i got a call from Mika asking if i wanted to tag along when she went to be cleansed. Mika being pleasant company i agreed and asked Isaac along as well. We met up with Mika, Varg the grumpy necromancer, and two very lovely ladies named blue and Artemis. Unfortunately the mission did not go that well, and when i needed some rest i asked Ced to step in, luckily they did not succeed in their first try with Ced either, my ego would have suffered from such a blow. But i hear they beat the the forgotten ones rather resoundedly in their second try. Ced as usual was annoyed that the enemies did not give him enough attention. I swear that fellow have some issues he need to have worked out.

After that i got into a rather interesting argument with Varg, it seems that necromancer actually do care for more than death and minions, well that is nice to know. Just dont ever mention his gums that really seem to tick him off. Later

Moonlight showed up, complaining about her fate, that girl need to ligthten up, accept it or do something about it girl. That is what my mother always told me, though she did not call me girl, more often it was "yer little brat" though with a certain degree of affection.

I then went back to the desert doing some oddjobs that i had been requested to do.

Just before i retired Zenaide showed up, and i got a chance to see her new armor, rather stylish, one have to hand her that, she knows how to dress. I met a nice sorcerer as well named Uriel, but at that point i was very tired so i decided to retire.

How strange life is.

Today Mel asked me to take up the axe instead of bow..... its a strange experience, and im not that good at it. Well i guess she have her plans, being a god and all.

I think i ran Ethan to Elona from the gorge.... its a bit hazy.

Then i met up with a rather nice monk from the Gents he guided me around old ascalon and found that caravan i were trying to find, they had some knowledge i needed.

Then a whole bunch of the guild set out from the Iron mines to get our armors protected from the Mursaat. Me being me i had to get into a discussion when ever possible, it truly is the spice of life, almost at good as my herbs. Enoch had a strange habit of killing the bears, it saddens me to see a ranger kill defenseless animals like that. I wonder where this hate for bears come from. Maybe he once got chased by one when caught stealing from the honeypot. Mel might slap him down for this, they are her creatures after all, but she still seems to like Enoch.

Well as much as i like to ramble on about things i need to get back to my axe practice, what ever plan Mel have for me, im guessing it will not be a long time in comming, women have never been known for their patience after all.

Today have been good, Heidi is back among us it seems, strange as always, but pleasant company never the less. Mel is after me, she says i need to try new stuff that i must not, what did she call it, stagnate in my set ways. Well i have tried axe, various combinations of bow techniques, arrows bathed in herb essence, and traps with mistletoe as bait..... didnt turn out very well, except from that girl...... luckily it was only a dust trap.
Boy could she run fast when in a rage, she could not catch me ofcause.

I were part of a rather nice team who were the spearhead of the force that retook Thunderhead Keep, i had a lot of fun enlightening unbelievers with balistas.

Well, that Vizier turned up when we were done and stole the spotlight from us. Typical let the grunts do the work and then waltz in and claim the honor. Not that i care much about honor and renown, but i HATE when others take credit for what i have bled for. And the Vizier neatly foisted of us to hell.... that LICH.

Hell is not a nice place i can assure you that, its hot and full of lava , fire and monsters with an attitude. The hydra i offered herbs threw a fireball at me.

Well, Isaac Heidi , Enoch, Togusa and i set out from the ring of fire to put a dent in the Mursaat forces. Enoch joyfully hitting on every female in sight.... and probably a few that he could not see as well. Though he did agree with me that those necromancer just were not worth looking at.'

Heidi seemed a bit exasperated with Enochs antics and were constantly rolling her eyes, when i asked about it, she said it was a facial disorder. I dont know, it might be that too many times kissing an ettins club could produce such a disorder.

As for the quest itselt it all went to pieces when we manages a bit of a tactical error. Later i went with a mixed team 8, effectively 7 because we had a coward on the team afraid to take part in the battle, he spent most of his time picking up loot. Well after several hours we finally killed the last animated armor, and could call ourself the victors.

From there i met up with Zen and Xel in the hall and we had a nice pleasant time just sitting chatting and relaxing.

From there Xel and i went to Beetletun to meet Xiombarg and hawkthorne, a prospective member.
I have to admit that i like barg, even though she is a necromancer, she seems much more alive than the usual necromancer. Barg and i then helped Hawkthorne to get to the temple of ages, and i think i were a boon to the team after i got rid of the build i had just thought minutes before.

When we arrived at the Temple i excused myelsf, for i were very tired as you might seee on these pages.

I hope i wil get the chance to travel with barg again, she is a funny and sweet, so mure alive than your average necromancer.

Well a lot of stuff happened today..... im so grateful that Mel is watching my back, she is on fine girl to have as a friend. I spent a lot of time today helping friends along on their quests and generally having a good time. Ethan Heidi Togusa Rakk and I outright slaugthered what seemed like half of the enemy garrison in the Shiverpeaks. We were magnificent if rather silly looking in our righteous rage.

I ran Angel to Dunes of despair, silly ranger i still dont undertand how that could pose a problem. Then we did some misssions to ready him for his Ascencion. Later we took up with the morningstars in the shiverpeaks, and must have taken out most of what remained of the enemy from the time there with Ethan. The morninrstars are pleasant company if a bit on the odd side, especially Arioch.... which seem to have a thing for ducks. Well anyways, i had a great time Enochs constant attempts to get a rise out of Arioch or Dameer.

More has probably happened but i am very tired and will rest soon.

the final thing i did today was hunting down maxine coldstone...... GODS that was a bit of running, and it took its toll on the henchmen.
First time i caugt sight of her, i thought, ooh alone, easy target how nice.... then WHAM !! im surrounded by drakes dryders and golems, and fighting deperately for my life.

But i am a woodsman and i will endure, so when the last dryder and the last bone minion were put to rest i set out on Maxines now cold trail..... next time i caught up to her guess what happens. RIGHT another bunch of monsters gets into my way and i again have to do some tedious work convincing the critters not to block my way, the hard way. Well this do not only happen once or twice but FIVE FRIGGIN TIMES..... so when i finally caught up to maxine hiding between some Hydras, not even Balthazaar wielding a fiery sword and a beard he could use as a jumprope would have been able to stop me from teaching that coldstone some things about why you should not lead this ranger on such a chase.

Today i traveled with Varg and Deeper Blue and some warrior named Liz, who did not own tactical sense by the way. We were hunting for some dark spider thing, not the kind of type that crawls into your pants, but those that will eat you, without proper seasoning if they can get away with it.

I really felt inspired today and i was able to come up with some pretty good verses. Varg was kind of annoyed, must be due to all the times the monsters got him and Deeper Blue said that what ever was wrong with me, it was no small things. I think she was just mad because i asked her what was wrong with her pants, it's not like if spiders care if your pants are off limits.

Well i am sure they liked my poetry, they only had trouble expressing this.

We never did find the spiderthingie. So Deep went to go sleep, or possibly change pants, though if they are off limits, then i have to wonder how she got into them in the first place...... sometimes I think i am the only sane person around.

Varg and i then jumped to the desert, helping Zenaide slay some odd minotaur creature. I did not really stay that long after that, i felt my inspiration had left me, and i needed to head back to the hall for a fresh supply of herbs.

At the hall i found some of my herbs stashed, so i took a bunch happily chewing away, then i think i fell asleep.

Right, time for another entry into this little book of mine where I carry all my thoughts and general description of my life. Today was a very eventful day. It really was, it isn’t just something I make up. You see, first I was traveling around in the outskirts of Ascalon revisiting old memories and splitting some stone thingies. Then I accidently fell by a statue and poof, some huuuge ghost pops up and starts to speak about the glory of battle and how for just a tiny amount of money he could help me enlarge my combat ability. I told him that I was an enlightened being and I had no interesting in crude things as combat and killing.

Then I told Angel about the incident and he flat out refused to believe me, saying I should stop smoking herbs and such. Why do they always say that, I know perfectly well what my eyes are seeing, and this time they saw a giant ghost. Sensing a chance for a little bit of fun I said that I would show Angel the statue and when he saw that I was right he had to do the silly dance, or perhaps recite a poem. Seeing Angel dance was funny, I have to get him to do that more often.

Then we traveled to Nolani, I am not really quite sure why, but it seemed like the thing to do. There we met this little girl who seemed quite lost, I do not understand what happened but I felt the need to take care of her. Thinking back I still cannot grasp what it was that made me go and talk to the little girl, but it was something I had to do. I walked to the girl and sat down, it is important when you are with children that you speak on their level most of the time and do not act superior or tower over them. So I introduced myself and after a little while she started to tell me about how she got lost and separated from her parents. To be honest I do not think they survived that attack she described, no parents would leave their child to the charr, not without seeing her dead body. Remembering that nice staff I found in the tombs I started going through my inventory. I found it after a bit of searching, and handed it to the girl. I told her a funny story about it belonging to my grandmother, who used it to beat up grandpa. That is not true of course….. all the staffs she had broke on grandpa’s thick skull. I am not sure of all the properties on the staff but it is highly magical and since Malcolm seems fond of his, I thought it would be the perfect gift for a little girl.

Then Red joined us, she was very much her usual self which was good, stability in an ever changing world is somehow comforting. Like sunrise in the morning, perhaps that is why they hold such allure for me. Anyways, the kid was a little apprehensive about Red and Angel but I told her that they were good enough people when you got to know them. You just had to see through their sometimes gruff and crude exterior. Such is the cast with most people, that crude looking stone might actually encase a precious diamond, if you understand what I mean.

The girl thought that her parents might have joined the refugees on their trek away from Ascalon. And I lacked the strength to tell her what I feared. So we traveled from Nolani to Yaks bend where I spent some time telling the kid about Yaks, and showing her around in the camp. She seemed to really like the yaks. Then again who would not, they are so big and cuddly. After talking for a while and meeting some of the locals we headed on towards Borliss pass, where the refugees last had been. In reality we were following a girls, most likely vain, hope for finding her parents. But I could not bear breaking the heart of such a young creature. So on we traveled taking care not to have the girl getting into danger. Sadly the Stone summit dwarves were not very cooperative in that matter, and several times we had to rush to aid the kid. But in the end we all managed to pull through only a few scratches richer.

When we arrived at Borliss pass red had to leave us but she said she would send for some people to guide us to where the refugees were last. Not that long after a ranger and a green lady arrived, I must admit that I did not really like the green lady, arrogant would be the word I would choose. But since I am an enlightened being I tried to be cordial and proper in my behaviour. The ranger was not really a nice person either, and his knowledge about the craftwork. I tried to enlighten him as we traveled, after all he is a fellow woodsman.

We made exellent time towards Groobles gulch and arrived without any major trouble… oh and we slew a dragon as well.

When we arrived at Groobles Gulch we spent some time talking to the locals, it was very pleasant. At least the white necromancer was pleasant, the rest of his group were not really that outspoken. Neither were they very friendly.

So we set out traveling towards the frost gate I must admit I was a bit nervous for the kid, but she handled herself very well. I am soooo proud of her. Many dwarves later we arrived at beacons perch, I like that place. I spent some time talking to greenie, I wonder why has her temper in such a state. Now I am no expert on the human mind but, greenie has issues, she is not balanced. But she will not accept help, anyone can see that, and besides the kid is what I must focus on right now. Funny that, I have always thought my freedom to go anywhere and do anything was what I valued most. Now I give it up for a stranger’s child and I do it willingly and with all my heart. Melandru as my witness I promise to do what I can for the kid.

I showed the kid the view from the top of the mountain and we made a special snowman, a wishing snowman.

Then this guy named Mal showed up, pleasant fellow, he tagged along as Frost, Greenie, the kid and I made our way to Lions Arch. It was a long and hard journey and again I was impressed with how well they kid did. We arrived at Lions arch late in the evening, and after a while we found some accommodation where we got some rooms and a place for the kid to stay the night.

When the kid was safely asleep I exited the inn and traveled to the Ice tooth cave there I met up with Selene and Mal. Selene is a white spider, though far prettier than any spider I have ever seen. We talked for a while and somehow the subject turned to the kid….. her name is Miyuki, I really should not call her the kid. Anyways I sensed that Selene might want to take in the kid, but I found out that she had some highly inappropriate ideas about what trade the kid should be trained in. Therefore I ventured that Yuki had some innate healing abilities and that she might find employment as a healer. Strangely, even if they would train her in the noble calling of a healer I found it hard to let go. I ended up offering my service along with the kids training.

What ever am I doing with my life, no I think I know, I am preserving the continuation of life, I know that I am not suited for family life, I will never settle down find a wife and raise a school of kids. If Yuki lacks parents I am pleased to help, I am pleased that I can do a bit to preserve the eternal continuation of life. This is what serving Mel is all about.
