Robin woke she felt rested but still uneasy... She didn't recognize where she was but it felt safe for the moment..

deep within her the demon coos it won't be long now... this child can't withstand me much longer.... he he he he... i will have full control by sunup if not before....

fear of loosing this battle within her Robin pulls her knees up to her chest and wraps her arms around them and lays her head down and begins to weep silently..... she weeps for those that may die and for the life she will loose but most of all she weeps for the betrayal they may feel towards her....

[avenging fury]

After trying to figure out what the Phantom Lord had told him. William gave in to confusion and just shrugged it off. Through winding passages he went until he reached his home. I must find out what causes that Phantom Lord to have him be fear itself He thought as he slipped in his house. Tomorrow hopefully no work so I can research this Fear thing he thought as drifting off to sleep.

[Deus]

Christopher left the roof and returned to his bed room. He entered the room and automaticly knew everything wasnt entirely alright.

"There is no time for crying." Christopher said. "Weather silent or loud. This world will be torn apart soon and you must leave. Get out of here before you get exposed to the fear and chaos."

Christopher sighed. He was unsure what to do at this point. He knew he couldnt stop the war single handedly... and there was no one he could call on for help. At this moment he decided he could not protect Robin any futher. To continue on as her guardian would be a sure death for both of them. Which is why she must go to some place safe. She would have to put aside the fact that she came here to escape the very thing that may now consume this tranquil place on the boarder of strange realms.

"The kindness of God will end today, but only for today. The wall between heaven and hell has been torn down, and the sun burns of blood. The red sky is a symbol of the hate that is to be unleashed on these very grounds. You must go, to stay here is to die. But I cannot come with you... I have a job i must do."

There was a clear sadness in his eyes. Even if he survived the battle, at this moment he felt defeated. An angel... that could not protect someone. The shame was nearly unbearable.

[Dezonus]

Zyth got up again.

"It must have all been a dream" He thought to himself

He thought that, but then imediatley realised that it was no dream, and no matter how much he did not want to believe it, it would not go away. He looked around, the sky was an evil red.

Zyth walked back to town. He passed several people, but something was odd. They weren't running away. Sure, Zyth could see that they were still afraid, as they were catiously backing away, but they weren't running as if Zyth was the figment of all evil.

Zyth began to realise, loosing the Predecessor from within took away most of his pressence of fear. He began to wonder, if he was to kill the predecessor, would it disapear completely?

That gave Zyth motivation, he had to kill the predecessor. But he also realised, the predecessor must be almost fear itself.

It would be a hard battle, and looking over to the church, and realised he wasn't the only one in this sort of situation. Christopher had his own problems as well, and he also realised that he had noticed Robin was also fighting something from within...Though nothing compared to the power of the Predecessor, a being from both heaven and hell, God and the Devil...

looking up as Christopher entered the room she smiled a weak smile at him

"It nolonger matters if i leave or not, i'm loosing this battle within. If the war that is comming is anything that the demon will enjoy participating in it will return once it gains control." with a sigh Robin stands up from the bed and walks to him. Standing just in front she places her right hand on his chest and smiles stronger then before resiend to her fate.

"I thank you Christopher for being my friend while i was myself, i'd forgotten how it felt to have one. I will do as you ask and head into the woods, but if you should see before daybreak know this..." taking a deep breath she continues "I will be one of your enemies not your friend for the fox inside will be drawn by it's blood lust." With a last smile Robin leans forward on her toes and kisses him softly on the cheek. And quickly heads to the door and down the stairs

She passes the priest on her way and only nods and smiles at him and walks out of the church. She begins to run into the woods for maybe if she is able to get far enough away even with the demons speed it will no return in time. She refueses to look back and heads toward the mountain pass through the woods.

[Deus]

Christopher had not fully grasped what he had asked, when Robin had left him standing. But for now he could only hope that she made it to saftey in time. The armies would be here soon, and at sun down the battle would resume. It was time for him to prepare.

He went to his his book shelf. Reaching to the very top he pulled down a long cylindrical case. Opening it up he peered down at his old weapon. An El Cid sword, with a polished gold hilt. The demon slayer...

Picking it up, it brought back memories of the Dark City and his duties their as a knight of God. Would it be time for such a title again? he thought to himself. He left his room and climbed the stairs to the roof, sword still in hand. There he would stand until the final moment. Even as the armies march one by one upon the great plains to meet each other face to face, he would stand until the battle finally begin.

Robin reaches the mountain pass and falls to her knees exhausted both physically and mentally

within her the fox demon rages for control
"just a little longer and this body will belong to me and me alone."

Robin cringes at the voice not even able to fight it anylonger and wrapes herself into a ball looking for the strength to hold on.

around the forest is peacful and silent but as Robin fights she feels herself loosing and a scream fills the forest, one of anguish, fear, guilt, and defeat.

The once human Robin stands and opens her eyes but instead of the beautiful red that they once were now take the form of deep yellow. The creature opens it's mouth in an evil grin of triumph and the fags on the fox can be seen in place of a human smile. The once delicate hands of a woman and school teacher are now the claws of a killer.

It only takes a moment for the fox to take stock of her surroundings she sniffs the air and can smell the tension and the uncome of battle and begins to laugh. The laugh is not joyes nor is it evil just pure contement and looking forward to wrecking havic. It's former host had managed to make it far from the village and with a blink of the eye the fox was off. it would make it back to the village in plunty of time to enjoy the slaughter that battles are....

[Dezonus]

The Predecessor senses a new being has emerged nearby. The Predecessor can tell that it is either a Demon, Vampire or Phantom.

The Predecessor knows that it can't be a phantom, as the phantoms are very teritorial and do not move alone. It can't be a Vampire, because vampires get to flight very quickly. Therefor, it must be a Demon, and by the fact that it has just apeared, it must have been within another being. The Predecessor decided to confront this new demon, hoping that it would either be able to form an alliance. If not, The Predecessor would kill the demon, because as well as Phantom Lords, Demons were also on the hit list...Though, nowhere near as high a priority as the Phantom Lords...

"Here, take it now, I will come back later for the swords" The Predecessor states, huridly passing william the bar of gold before vanishing into an explosion of darkness again.

The Predecessor reapears where robin ran to before turning into the demon within. The Predecessor can see that the demon is already getting ready to take off

"Stop! I wish to speak to you demon" The Predecessor states, adding elements of fear to make sure that the demon would indeed stop.

"I see, that like me, you have been trapped within the body of a weaker being. If you allow me, I want us to work together, we both have practically the same goal."

The Predecessor hesitates for a moment then continues

"There is one individual in particular I am after. A Phantom Lord by the name of Zyth. He is the last living Phantom Lord, and he must cease to be so that the race can finally be extinct. Once he is dealt with, I intend to cease another one-of-a-kind. An individual by the name of christopher, who is half Vampire, half angel. Bth of them are plotting against us, and they must be stopped."

The Predecessor hesitates for another moment, allowing the information to sink in

"So, what do you say? Sall we work together?"

The Predecessor got ready to morph, just in-case the Demon wasn't as co-operative as The Predecessor though...

The fox turns and glares at her challenger. recognition crosses her senses

"I work with noone... but thank you for it was your presence that allowed me to finnaly weaken my human half and take over completly."

with one last snif of the air the fox disappears into the forest for it can sense that to stay near this creature would be dangerous even to her.

Besides she would like to see how Christopher will react now that her human side is gone.... for she still retians all of Robin's memories

[Deus]

Christopher sensed a presence coming near him. A demon, he thought to himself.

With a flap of his wings he glided off the roof to the front of the cathedral. He sensed this presence was familiar, but different than before. Could the change had happened so quickly?

He stood, on guard, waiting for this 'demon' to find him.

The fox slowed slightly as it neared the village. The moon would rise soon and her senses told her that her prescence has not gone unnoticed.

The fox allowed her shape to change back into that of the human, hopeing that it would allow her to get close to the demon slayer, through off his guard.

She stepped from the forest walking slowly toward the cathedral entrance trying to put off the air of humanity that it was capable.....

[Dezonus]

The Predecessor sensed Christopher's movement, it seems he was getting ready to do battle with the Demon.

The Predecessor had seen Christopher many times through Zyth's eyes, so it had been able to analyse him. The Predecessor decided to Morph into a shadow version of Christopher, and then vanished again.

The Predecessor reapeared next to Christopher.

"You know, you could have saved Zyth, which in turn would have saved Robin. How foolish of you. Now they will both have to die...But such is life" The Predecessor stated, stretching his new wings.

[Deus]

"There are parts of me you cannot analyze and copy." Said Christopher while swinging his sword from side to side in a graceful circular motion. "You dare challenge me, and you will be struck down like the evil sloth you are. Zyth is not dead yet, nor is robin, so dont be so sure you have won."

Christopher turned to face him, sword pointing towards its head.

"I will not hesitate. After all, this sword is meant to smite evil and darkness. Not even the great Predecessor could withstand it."

Christopher stood, battle ready. Still sensing Robins approach, he was waiting for her more than he was a battle.

Just inside the tree-line the fox stops and watches as Christopher stands against the Predecessor.

HM first blood shed the fox thinks to itself and unconsciouly licks it's lips in anticatpation of what it may witness...

and deep inside he feels the cry of the human weak barely alive but still present and it smiles inward for she will be of use yet.

[Dezonus]

The Predecessor laughs.

"Do you really think I came to challenge you?" It asks "I wouldn't want to spoil the fun between yourself and the demon you still consider to be Robin. I merely morphed into you to catch your attention, but if you insist, well..."

The Predecessor walks across the rooftop, noticing the Demon drawing closer.

"You know, I once had till kill a creature they called a "Zyvestian". They are an ancestor to Vampires, nut most people don't know about them as we were ordered to eradicate them. Anyways, to the point, The Zyvestians were alot bigger and alot stronger than Vampires, and I can morph into anything I get a good look at."

The Predecessor laughs, then morphs into a Zyvestian. The Predecessor launches itself at Christopher and grabs him. The Predecessor goes up in the air about 100 metres, rips off one of Cristopher's wings, and hurtles him into the ground in front of the Demon.

The Predecessor lands next to the Demon.

"That should make things easier for you." The Predecessor stated "I doubt he'll be alive much longer, but I'll let you finish him off. I have other matters to deal with"

The Predecessor disapeared into an explosion of darkness again.
