Imperial "Funland" Event, Sunday July 29, 2007 11A

en4cer184 Joined: 05 Mar 2007 Posts: 1554 : Location: Covington, LA Items	Posted: Sat Jun 09, 2007 6:22 pm    Post subject: Imperial "Funland" Event, Sunday July 29, 2007 11A   I was thinking about talking to my friend John at Funland in Mandeville and seeing if they would be willing to sponsor a Star Wars Celebration Event where the money will be donated to a local charity in the Mandeville or Covington area. Some of the charities in this area are as follows: American Red Cross, United Way, Habitat For Humanity, The St. Joseph's Abbey as well as several other charities. Funland has go-carts, indoor games and Lazer Tag. I was thinking that we can do a Lazer Tag event against anyone who wants to challenge the Empire. If this is a doable event, please let me know and I will talk with John. Lazer Tag against the Empire sounds like a great idea and he can even advertise it for a few weeks to bring in people. I've never heard of another garrison or squad doing this and I think we can be the first. Are there any Lazer Tag places on the south shore?

I even spoke with him about doing some publicity shots in the Lazer Tag building so we can put the photos on some flyers. All I need is approval from the squad and a list of members who can attend. I can also do something on Sunday July 8th and Sunday July 29th. The rest of June and July are tied up for me. I have several details to work in June and two conferences to go to in July.
