May I suggest that you develope a seperate drive for comicbooks with venders. Free Comic book day is around the corner and can be distributed to kids in hospitals etc. on the week or weekend of that event. So maybe we can make arrangements to get the comic books to the kids.
What would BABES role be for this drive? It does sound like you have interest from non-babes.
One interesting thought would be to approach NOLA Comic Con and see if the would be willing to offer $1 off addmission for anyone with a video donation. Then BABES could collect the donation. That would be a success ticket right there. If they go for it I'll help you promote it .
I have Photo Shop and can help you with artwork.

Oh this is a great idea. I think it would be wonderful to expand to not just comic books but also to sci fi novels and stuff like that. But maybe that's taking it a step too far. I would be happy to maybe talk to the library (parish and school) about advertising, as well as in the anime club at school (kids are always outgrowing their manga and stuff) if we decide to take comics. But videos and games will always be welcome.

I am simply the middle man grabbing some stuff from them from people I know will donate to children. I'm not taking trying to steal thunder from anyone. This is all for them.

No not at all. It's a great idea Tim I'm only suggesting doing the comics as a separate event. Just a suggestion.

It is just video games being donated from Cash America. I doubt they would turn down duplicates. It will just allow more than kid to check out a movie or game.
But, if you wanted to pick another hospital or organisation for the donations feel free. Just coordinate with Jeff K.

I'm going to lock this thread and start a new one so that the plan for this will be more clearly stated. I should've started this thread with the plan written out in full. The way I opened this topic made it seem a little confusing and unclear.
