i just had another nasty and FREEZING COLD rain squall come over the house. My club vice president just called from the OPS site at DOW on the river and said it is coming down over there as well. Nasty WX all around today, not the best for parade like activities.
Reminds me of winters in the Army.....ugh.

Bro I have lived in this state for almost 39 years, and I still am not used to it. Roller coaster weather for sure. |
If you don't like the weather, stick around - it will change by tomorrow :)

Although we are jacked up next to a platform. We had heavy rain, fog, and winds were blowing 30 plus most of the morning. Now blowing about 22. Sea's are about 5-7 foot.

Flooding in the Tulane area too...we're okay. The students next door probably lost their Mazda though. Water on State Street is up to my knees - the rubber boots I was wearing didn't help at that point :) - but we're all right. Our house is built up a bit, and we live on the 2nd floor anyway.
Be safe, everyone, and take care.

I did go downtown at 3:30pm today and as soon as I got into BR
I seen the sun
I started to get mad, so we went in to eat and when we came back out it
was getting cloudy again and on the way home it started raining again, hard!
So they got rained on during the parade, and as Jhon said, I'm glad we canceled because I sure didn't want to be wet and cold.

I just got off the phone w/ the parade folks, and they informed me that they didnt canx the parade at all. They said it didnt rain at all and had the parade the run through without any problems.
But they are looking forward to having us next Dec 2010.

Well I can tell you the sun was out while I was down there but it was still cloudy
and was sprinkling and either way wether it rained or not we would have had to be there when it WAS raining so I'm still glad I didn't go, cuz I'm not sick and can go to work tomorrow LOL.
I'll watch the parade on tv and post what I see.

yes, but what about the 2 hours before the parade when they had to be lined up? It sure was raining and COLD at my house all day yesterday, and we went into BR to the movie and the mall where it was raining....not to mention insanely crowded. what possessed us to go near the mall 2 weeks before Christmas. LOL

Yah I talked to Lee and he was at the mall and said they were leaving because it was just too crowded to do any shopping.
I NEVER go to the mall on a raining Saturday or Sunday, ever!
Been there once and never again :(
