|
|
I know it's late, nope early am for everyone. But I wanted to take a few minutes to Thank John, Jhon, Josh, Phenix and Wayne. And a big "Thank You", to everyone who donated a toy today. Our first day at Kay*Bee Toy Outlet at Tanger Mall was a big sucess.
Later today Wayne and I will have some time to inventory all of the toys and we will update the board with a total and list of everything that was donated on Saturday.

Hey everyone,
Tommy and I just got done inventorying all of the donations from the first toy drive event and we are astounded at the totals so far!
We emptied the barrel four times had over 110 items donated! Plus, there were many people that we talked to that were excited to see us and knew someone they'd like to bring back next weekend for our second event. That with the fact that K.B. says they do twice the sales that Saturday compared to the Saturday we were there (plus what we did last year as well) makes it sound like we have a great possibility of over-taking the bar we set last year!
I want to make sure I extend an invitation to everyone to come out to the donation event this Saturday. So let the tryptophan wear off on Friday and come out on the 29th and help us get as many donations as we can!
Also, the pictures from the first toy drive have been posted in the Picture Gallery section (click here to view them).[/i]

Hey everyone, now that the turkey has worn off - here's the list of who I've got coming tomorrow:
Templar (?)
Phenix
en4cer184
Greycap
JediNight
Executor
Plus anyone else who can happen to make it! We had a great haul last weekend and it's because of everyone who showed up - costume or not. So if you can make it - we'd be glad to see you there!
The Tanger opens at 9 am - so I will be there for then. The event will officially run from 10 am - 2pm, but last time we stayed until almost 4 because of the interest - so hopefully it will be that way again. See you there and thanks in advance!

The storm is rolling over me now and from the Radar it looks like it will hit Tanger pretty quick.
Good thing I put new batteries in for the fans. Im gonna need em!
************************************EDIT*************************************
Today was great, other than tearing my hose up and having one sock on too tight and really hurting my toes it turned out fantastic with a monster toy haul.
Sorry about not making it to CPK....we couldnt find the place!

The weather sucked but it was mega busy and the barrel had to be emptied like four times!
Excellent! Also the lady from the cancer services center was really happy with the overall effort. Looks like a good relationship was forged there!

Ok everyone, the totals are in! We had 132 items donated on yesterday for a grand total of 243 toys donated this year!!!
I too would like to extend my thanks to everyone who was able to make it to the two toy drive events this year. It's because of you that we're able to get these kinds of numbers and donations - we had a great toy drive (despite the weather) and I'm looking forward to the distribution event this year!
Pictures are now up for the second day of the event on our site, in the Picture Gallery section (or click here).
