It's really exciting that we've grown enough to pull off 2 troops simultaneously. A good day all around. Both troops went well. And there was a Vader at both!!!!! YAY for BAG!!!
Maybe next year they won't be on the same day again.

I had a great time at the parade and I look forward to doing it again next year. Thanks Bill for organizing this event.

Amazing troop!
I had so much fun, everyone looked outstanding. I think we really made an impact at the parade..
I wish I could have stayed longer to talk a bit more though!
Kinda funny me and a few of the guys where walking to the line up and someone yelled look a POWER RANGER!!!

The Norco parade has been a staple in St. Charles for a while, but the units have mostly come from St. Charles and St. John parishes. I'm not 100% certain, but we may have been the first "outside" unit to walk it.
As for being called a Power Ranger, get used to it :) My motto for my TI is "If I had a dollar for every time I was called Darth Vader, I could build a Vader." :)

This was a great troop! The weather was perfect. The crowd was very nice. And we looked very good walking in formation for the parade.
Special thanks to Theresa and Ken for the use of the van and Theresa driving it., which was a big hit too. Theresa said it was referred to as the cute Star Wars car.

Our post-parade host told me today that we were in the River Parishes Picayune, as well as the two local papers. I'll track down the pictures and add them.
Also, the parade was filmed, and they'll give me a copy; I'll have archival copies available for any who would like one.

As I said earlier, we've been invited to take part in next year's parade - feedback is that we were very popular with the crowds. If we know of other groups who might like to walk (Louisiana Costume Club, maybe?) let me know and I'll pass that info along.
Even better: if we troop next year, the Norco Christmas Parade will make a charitable donation in our name to the foundation of our choice :)

All right! It's great to know that our participation could help someone, and not just our egos!
