wish I had a story about how I moved up in PDGC tags at Da Ox last night but suddenly after the round, we weren't playing for PDGC tags. Can't imagine why. ? I WAS CHEESED! (yes, I expressed my disapproval last night but I wouldn't be me if I didn't whine just one more time!)

That all got decided at a weekly about 3 weeks ago. There was discussion about how one is automatically playing for EC tags (excepting heads-up DFL) and working both sets of tags adds time and complexity, and you can play for PDGC tags anywhere and everywhere already. But if you shoot your lights out and don't get #1 for both how you'd be ticked and blahblahblahblah...

You can still make side arrangements, but nobody's gonna keep track of it for you.

It was a beautiful day in Richmond today, and Bryan Park re-affirmed my love for it.
Had a heckuva crew out from Central Virginia and friends. At different times we (Steve, Joses, Keith, KP) were joined or played with Wendy, Dee, Jon, Gordon, and Pierrre. Literally could not have asked for more pleasant weather. Arrived around 10, teed up the blues shortly thereafter. First round was less than spectacular, obviously stretching out from the ride. I don't have the scores written down but I think Joses led at 58, Steve and I shot 60, Jfarm shot 67 with Dad, and Jon was either 70 or 72, not sure. Grabbed some lunch, and came back for the gold/yellow. Much better shooting. Joses and I both had 7 deuces, though he managed to avoid trouble a bit better than I did. He shot 50, Steve 52, KP 53, Jfarm 62, Dad 62. Hopefully worked out some of the kinks prior to next weekends event. Enjoyed getting out to see the course, including some of the changes since last year. KP

I believe I shot 60 second round, unless I heard wrong. And that with two bonehead 5's on 17 and 18. I had a fair number of deuces the second round as well, not sure how many.

Well, after seeing very little of Mr. Whorley, some of us decided to head out to Timber Ridge and see him yesterday. He has obviously been busy with springtime stuff, farming/mowing/gardening, and riding herd on the adorable young CarolAnn. After a short visit, we headed off to the course. I hadn't played Timber Ridge since the Brawl I guess, and had forgotten what a great warm weather walk it is. Aside from Mike R. who had to leave early, we made it around in good time. There was some heckling, and it was a blast.
