You're way ahead of me. The beaver looks great. I have a horned owl silhouette for you in the trunk. I'll either stop in today or call you to make final arrangements for tomorrow. _________________ frankengun@hotmail.com |

Good work once again! I recently realized I don't have a Beaver target in my collection. How unpatriotic of me!
You may have already seen this, but if not, here is a page full of target face illustrations.
See you tomorrow.

PS - If one of you guys can take the "Cobra" design from the link above and make a target with it...you have a buyer here. I like that design a lot. _________________ Canadian Airgun Field Target Association (CAFTA)

Hey there CJN that new mechanism you tested with base hits yesterday failed to stay up on that second shot because you gave it a direct hit on the spring with the first shot.... second shot the spring wasn't in place...LOL
I had made a slot on the bottom portion in which the spring was held in place, but in my haste to prepare this base mechanism to bring out for Saturday, I neglected to cut a slot for it in the top section.... Should be fine for the next round of testing later today.... _________________ Shoot Safely, Shoot Often & Share Your Sport!

After that match, I think CJN must have aimed at that spring, because he sure hit everything else he aimed at.

CJN Probably did aim for that spring...LMAOL...
I'll pickup some batteries for my digital....
The owl is set on the new base and is now tweaked to drop with 4.2fpe and stand-up to 25fpe ...
Not a false positive knock over on a face hit with the 10 shots I smacked it with..... _________________ Shoot Safely, Shoot Often & Share Your Sport!

You are going to become the "Canadian Target Man" for sure. Thanks for all you do and the enthusiasm you bring to each match and event you attend. You make Canadian airgunning look good.

I'm sure that's how Pounded Paddle and After Hours all started. I'd buy Canadian for sure! |

EW:
That brings up a very good point. We have all seen how Hunter tends to spread the shots all over the target when they are a long ways out. Maybe it might need a retrofit to that target, and others like it (including the originals), for a spring protector. Just a thought. _________________ Keyrigger
