This will be adult only party. Bring spouse/significant other/date etc if you wish.

I'll need to find some place to send my kids for the evening, too.

There are several hotels at the hwy 30 Gonzales exit. That's where Tanger Outlet mall and Cabelo's are. The hotels at Siegen Rd are about the same distance from my house, but in Baton Rouge.

also, what type of party is this? is this the bring your spouse but not your kids type of party? Needing to get a feel about it to see if I should get a sitter or not, if my wife is interested or can even make it.

the BAG Christmas party (Dagaboh Base is more than welcome to make this the RL party as well) will be held at my house in Prairieville on Sat. Dec 11 immediately following the Baton Rouge Christmas parade. If you don't plan to attend the parade, the party should get under way about 8:30pm.

We will have a Dirty Vader gift exchange
Everyone can bring food or drink as desired. I'll start a thread for what everyone is bringing, and my address, as this gets closer.

This is not too late for Metairie folks, or at least not all of us. *grins at Ken*

I'm still iffy on this as it's the same night as my office Xmas party in Lafayette. Actually I'm iffy on a lot of dates at the moment due to work. Hopefully I'll get my schedule straightened out soon and start signing up for more events.

i dont really think that is too late, because most parties dont start until 8pm most of the time anyway, and lots of people will already be in Baton Rouge; and, if you dont do it on the 11th, you dont have many other choices to have a party before xmas, just seems like the perfect weekend to do it.

i will try to make it either way.

The bad part of this is that the parade starts at 5:30 and runs for 1.5 hours. So the party wouldn't get started until about 8:30. That's ok with me, but, will that be too late for those having to drive back to New Orleans?

My house is 45 min from Metairie. I can be from my driveway to the airport, parked, in 45 min.
