To be honest, Erik? I'm not entirely sure yet. For this, I'm waiting until I get all the character's sheets in, then I'll think about it, determine how they got thrown together, tell you guys, think a bit on the tone I want, not tell you guys until the thing starts, and then hopefully it all works out.

So. How did the characters meet up? (Hopefully, there will be more characters than these two.) What kind of OHSHITDISASTER GM fiat threw them together? Is the major motivation to be "push" (quest to do) or "pull" (villain to hunt down)? How dark will the tone of the Chronicle be?

::Backgound::

Rudy is not a native of this Earth. He comes from a distant, parallel
world which, coincidentally, is also an arena for a struggle for
domination over power and magic. He is the only son of a ridiculously
wealthy individual involved in the struggle, and thus was pampered
and given whatever he might want or need. His needs included a
personal bodyguard, who, unbeknownst to him, was a descendant of
magically transformed animal - a chicken.

Rudy's first real encounter with magic was a pretty violent one. When
his powers awakened, he wrecked most of the mansion, accidentally
reverted his bodyguard permanently into a chicken, and sent them both
hurtling off that plane of existence. Since then, he has been
travelling worlds - trying to get back home, but not without enjoying
the ride.

- How old are you?
- Rudy is middle-aged. He has gained some sense since his youth,
which means that he's merely unstable, rather than outright mad.
Magic is not new to him, but since coming to this world, he had to
relearn it all mostly from scratch - primarily because his magic is
mostly vulgar, and thus quite difficult.

- How was your life different?
- Rudy was a normal child, at least for someone whose parents are
filthy rich. He did like watching Dragon Ball a lot, though.

- What was your upbringing?
- Rudy never had a normal life beyond the age of seven. All that
he's learned was a side-effect of trying to survive.

- Who are your friends and family?
- Rudy's parents are very, very wealthy, and engaged in a fight to
gain more power than they already possess. However, they will have
to see about getting a new heir, because their son is very, very far
away from them in all meanings of the word. While he was still with
them, he was adored and pampered. Rudy's closest friend and
companion is Lamar, his chicken-bodyguard 'familiar'.

- When did you first encounter magic?
- Rudy knew magic existed from a very early age, since he
occassionally did pay attention to what his parents talked about
during meals - they were involved in all sorts of magical and
supernatural happenings. His first encounter with it, personally,
was when he got into his brain that he could throw a Kamehameha just
like Goku... and subsequently blasted a hole through most of the
walls in the house, thereafter losing control and being teleported
from existence to somewhere else entirely.

- How did you join the Traditions?
- Rudy never joined any of the Traditions. Simply because his ideas
about what magic is, how it works and what it should be used for
border more on Marauders' views than any of the other organizations.
He's not completely mad, though, just very... special.

- How did you join your Cabal?
- Rudy never joined a Cabal. He hasn't found, to date, any mage of
significantly similar views.

- How do you deal with the Mundane World?
- As far as Rudy is concerned, magic is mundane. It was a part of
his life ever since he could remember, and just as normal as water.
However, he does realize that not all people view it as such, and
while he was trying to remaster his abilities, he has learned that
for the inhabitants of this world, magic isn't something they
commonly even know about - so he tries not to be too flashy when
it's not essential.

Corinthian: Yes, it's be decided on Mage. YOu are welcome to play of course, but I would rather not mix Vampire and Mage, since the power level of Mage is, to be honest, very much higher than the power level of Vampire.

Is the choice of game settled? I'd love to play V:tM, I have some experience with it, but no RL group. I've looked at M:tA as well, but it seems weird, to my tastes. I would be on a V:tM game (Camarilla or Anarch, preferably) like white on rice.

I'm not ashamed to admit to drinking. It's better than possibly going mad. I mean, rewriting my own Pattern? Magical bootstrapping? It seemed crazy at first. I'm more comfortable with it now, but so many of the people I know are at the bar, and it feels good to have an outlet of some sort. The Brotherhood has been hinting at me to stop, and maybe I will. Maybe. Of course, the Cult of Ecstasy disagrees vehemently, but I'm not into their thing.

Okay. Extra Sphere dots placed.

Freebie points:
8 to increase Arete to 3
3 to increase Willpower to 8
2 to increase Brawl to 4, and take specialization Wrestling (obviously)
2 to bump up Contacts and Influence to 2 dots.

I also picked specialties:
Strengths: Powerful Arms
Perception: Alert
Wits: Combat Reflexes

Avatar and Resonance type are both Dynamic.

Whether it's the arena or facing something with magic, I love situations with just enough time to react. I don't have the stamina to carry on for very long, so I have to try to win quickly, which I don't mind. Yeah, let's do it!
