Huh, I didn't expect another person by now.

Well, the game just started but luckily not all the group has posted yet, nor have they left the hold. You'll need to declare your other language as I recall half-elves having another language atop Common and Elven.

Well anyway, I relocated the game to another forum (which is inherently linked to this one, some would call it the next iteration) but this is mostly because this forum is acting very unstable. Anyway, here is the Campaign Thread, and here is the Commentary thread, you'll want to repost that character sheet somewhere on the new forum (http://www.deathcookie.co.nr) (Some would suggest the newly made Character Repository as a good place). But anyway, hope to see you post and welcome to the forums.

Note: Although I do ponder why you chose your Half-Elf power to be Sure Strike, the fighter power basically mimics Careful Attack except Careful Attack can also be used at range (and uses Dex instead of Str). It seems rather redundant.

It'd also be good if you provided some sort of background, it doesn't have to be an essay or anything, just something.

This has been a most productive day. I spent some minutes of it conversing with Haldiel, and told him the gist of what I hope to accomplish in the short term. Providing the military this side of the border with the appropriate intelligence and sabotage could help them turn back this invasion, and as Haldiel said, the more the better. I do have to be careful with my secrets, I don't want Vemal to find out what we're planning.

Haldiel asked me what I was today. I dodged the question and promised to tell him eventually, and he didn't press me. With some further vetting to make sure he can be trusted, he will be perfect for the role I have in mind for him. He knows the military well (from both strategic, tactical and moral perspectives), he is good in close quarters, and he's smart enough to understand large-scale information warfare. I only hope he doesn't bolt later. I have an uncommon perspective into how similar humanoids really are, but most others see an orc and classify it immediately as an enemy to be exterminated.

One thing I neglected to mention in my last entry. We have another tag-along from the time when we fought the Outcast: Cassie. She is a wizard of considerable might -- her third-tier spells are currently singular in the party, though I hope the others will get there soon. For a first-time adventurer she displayed considerable mental fortitude and didn't run from our encounter with a giant of some description. She tells me she'll soon get to fourth-tier spells, at which point we'll hopefully have someone else to get people out of harm's way quickly. It wouldn't do to rely on my powers alone for this. True long-distance teleportation will come some time after that if she perseveres, and as we near that point, I will have to investigate her motives further.

Day 3 - September 14th SR 2524

This morn we were awaken by an assault of dwarves. The fight was tough and Bob was heavily wounded during it (though luckily he was saved). Only one of them seemed to speak a tongue any of us knew and he has yet to awaken, and that was their leader. Over a while of using vagueties and magic we managed to communicate somewhat with them, but they were all religious fanatics and merely sulked and did not talk soon afterwards.

Ony my watch for the following night's sleep a creature that someone I recalled called a Troll attacked us, once more felling Bob before he could even stand, also knocking out the Corgi that is following us about. Trolls seem to have extraordinary regenerative abilities and are at the least weak to acids, because my rapier was the only weapon doing damage that was not soon healing over, I am just lucky that Varidar gave me that crystal that I attached to my rapier's pommel, the acidic edge it gives the blade is enough to kill the troll once it passed out. I was wounded sonewhat during the battle but i'll survive, hopefully. Bob and the Corgi were both at the least stabilised if not recovered though I swear they are draining our resources annoyingly. I wish they would stay out of battle, really. They're just going to die and make us feel bad about them, at least Emma has the sense to stay far away from the fight and attack with her firearm.

Nothing else to say really except to ask: Why are so many things coming to this one camp-site, I know it's only two groups but two encounters with violent things in as many days is getting a bit much. We will have to leave soon, one way or another lest we starve from being incapable of motion because we have to keep recovering from attacks.

Cumulus thinks a few moments, and casts another spell as an afterthought. "There. Now you can still be awesome... well... somewhat."

He then rushes off, leading the party to something else shiny to kill.

((Have a Heroism spell - +2 to hit, damage, all saving throws and skill checks. I think this leaves you at -1 to attack and -1 or -2 to damage, so it's a pretty handy stopgap. ))
